Depot Cafe

On vacation and ran across this place. Glad we did, have eaten breakfast here twice. Fantastic food, and great service. By the way, the BEST fried chicken you'll ever eat

Was visiting Monteagle and read about this place. By far some of the best bacon I have ever eaten. We ate there twice within 5 days. Both times I had fried eggs, biscuits with gravy, bacon and hash browns. The staff is extremely friendly as other reviews have stated. You can tell it is a great place because the parking lot is always full during their hours. It is a MUST go cafe!!! And again, the bacon was phenomenal.

A wonderful waitress and the best burgers!

Great food! Great people! We are staying at Oliver's lodge cabin and they have a smokehouse restaurant on site. We ate at the smokehouse last night, extremely disappointed. Tried the Depot Cafe today and I would reccomend driving a couple miles down the road to come here rather than eat on site at Oliver's! Best food we have had while out of town. We will make a special trip anytime passing through just to stop for food.

Food was great but it was hot that day and we wanted to cool off but we sweated the entire time we were eating. Ac is important at sit down restaurant

The food is good, they have homemade desserts. They charge adult prices for children to eat at the buffet. It's all southern food. It's very small inside so I would not reccomend groups, it also gets very hot in there. They have air conditioning, but it does not work well.

Local spot. We had a traditional, simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast/biscuits with gravy. Everything was delicious and the service was just right.

On a rd trip was told to check it out glad we did friendly staff good food great price
