Best place to hang out in town and get work done. Spacious, laid back, very friendly, decent internet, decent food. Other than drinking tea all day, my favorite things to get are the stuffed grits, tuna fish sandwich, or lentil soup. I also appreciate that they play music I love. It's like somehow they got copies of all the mix tapes I made in high school. :)

Otherlands is a cool place. It has outdoor and indoor seating, a unique vibe, and a gift shop with neat little hippie trinkets, oils and incense. I love that you can find your own little nook to study with a different vibe depending on where you sit. Great food, great drinks, great service, WiFi, dog friendly outside. The only thing I have trouble with is that sometimes this place attracts the homeless. I’m totally understanding of this but it can occasionally make it difficult to study. Nevertheless, I have studied here often with no problem. Go see for yourself!

In a world where Starbucks is taking over, I am endlessly grateful for a small, locally owned shop that doesn't sell three versions of the word "large." Everyone's always really nice, the food is pretty great, and the plants are beautiful and plentiful. Love spending the day working remotely from here with a latte and an everything bagel.

Quaint neighborhood place for an intimate cup of coffee or bite to eat. There were lots of nooks to hide away for quite conversations or more open spaces for groups. It is in a great location in the heart of midtown. The only negative for me was that it was hot outside and it was not much relief inside.

Hands down one of the best coffee shops I've ever been to in the U.S. They have a bunch of different areas to work/study and everything from the decor, to the food, to the drink selection, to the artwork, to the ambiance is perfect. They have a quirky gift shop inside that's fun to check out. Also, be sure to get the Cheese Toast!

I have been coming to Otherlands for over 20 years. I love the atmosphere-- people working, studying, creating, having conversations about ideas and art, music, philosophy, and so on. Great music int background . . . I absorb positivity and inspiration whenever I am here. Coffee and food is wonderful too!😃

Prices are absolutely amazing here for what you get, in my opinion this is the biggest draw. Food and drinks are decent, and the environment is pretty good. Nice outdoor seating too!

The coffee was delicious. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating.

If you've worked in coffee, you will not like this place. No trained baristas, so the espresso drinks are real bad (while making my latte, she put the steam wand in the milk pitcher and walked away for 30 seconds and then poured the foaming mass over what must have been espresso.) It really is more of a cafe than a coffee bar.
I really liked the vibe of the place... very communal. But the whole building smelled like a bathroom, so I had to leave. It was pretty busy, and obviously a favorite hangout spot for locals, so the food must be good.

I just cannot get enough of this place! Great food, great service, and excellent coffee. This is one of those type of places that you can go in have a cup of coffee sit in a nice comfy chair and relax and read a book.
