I like the ambient. The breakfast is just okay.

The mocha was great, but the Belgian waffle was the most amazing thing I've put in my mouth. The atmosphere was casual yet classy. The staff was courteous. This place was my favorite part of our trip to Memphis.

Cafe Keough’s entrance is located on a pedestrian only street, Main St., a streetcar runs on down Main.
It’s usually possible to find street parking, but most of the spots are metered in this part of downtown. The meters take credit cards. For Memphis, where most parking is free, this makes getting there a bit tricky.
However the quality of the food and the ambiance of Cafe Keough make it more than worthwhile. The pastries are excellent, the croissants are flaky, the salad greens are fresh, the coffee is always good.
The ambiance reminds me of many places in the Garden District of New Orleans. High ceilings with fans to move hot air around, oversized windows, and architectural salvage, with cafe seating indoors and out.

The first time I visited Cafe Keough, I enjoyed an INCREDIBLE wine pairing dinner. Every dish was delicious and I rolled outta there fat and happy.
Little did I know this French-inspired cafe would become a mainstay on my list of frequent places to dine.
My favorite time of day to visit is lunch. It's super reasonable, fast and always yummy. I have enjoyed both the turkey and grilled cheese sandwiches. I always get the French onion soup with my sandwiches and dip them.
The space itself is one of my favorite things about the restaurant. I love that the owners decided not to demolish the architecture of the old building.
I have also been to several receptions here and the open, airy feel of the restaurant makes it the perfect setting.
I love the outdoor seating that faces S. Main Street so you can people watch as if you're seated outside a Parisian restaurant.
I honestly feel like I'm on vacation, when I'm at Cafe Keough. You must try it out!

A local Café with lots of things to eat and so much better than Starbucks. It’s a huge place and opens early so I could get my coffee jonesing on when I woke up early because of jet lag! Don’t miss it!

I chained my bike to their fence & went inside for a quick coffee and sweet roll. Both were good and the counter service was fast. Someone with the restaurant delivered my goods.

It was very good. My first time at this restuarant and it was enjoyable. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a years gone by Italian or French cafe. They have sidewalk seating which is extra nice as it is on the trolley line with no car traffic! Their menu has a great deal of variety in their breakfast and lunch (soups, salads, and sandwiches) menu. They have a case with unique desserts with French Macaroons of course! They also have a bar and draft beers. Overall I had a very pleasant lunch experience.

This just might be my new "go to" spot! We ordered Breakfast Paninnis, which came w/a wild mushroom dipping gravy... Delicious! 😙

Great coffee!
Wonderful ambience and environment.
They have sandwiches, salads and pastries too.
Tried their espresso brownie, it was delicious. It is extra bitter than the regular brownie, as it has the kick of espresso to it.
Eclectic options of teas and desserts are also available.
