Café Eclectic

This place was awesome!! The food was delicious, and the staff was so incredibly kind. Taylor took care of us and truly enhanced our experience! HIGHLY recommend!

I have been coming here for the past three months every Sunday and I am always amazed of the quality of food and service even in busy times of the day. Standards for food in Memphis are high but this place is definitely above this high standard. Floor manager keeps a tight shift but make sure all customers are comfortable with the service and food.

The food and coffee just isn’t the same. I always make sure to stop when I’m in town but today I think I gave it it’s last chance. I ordered vegan pancakes and they tasted bitter. Maybe the batter was spoiled. Long story short I will not be returning. The coffee is still decent. Ugly mug is better tho.

A wonderful place to meet friends. Great location. Our server was very good.

The best part of the meal was the water. The pancake had a strange taste and texture. The bacon egg and cheese biscuit was not appealing, ended up eating the filling and leaving the biscuit. Server was friendly though.

The worst biscuits and gravy I've ever had. It barely had any sauce.

Would not recommend! Visiting Memphis… looked nice on outside, food horrible, pancake a little burnt around the edges and that took over the taste, my waffle was very dark and a unfamiliar taste. My omelet so wet underneath it could have slide off the plate and the service was horrible.

Good food, homemade, and all LOCAL!! Cozy place with a good selection. Great coffee choices as well. Prices are very reasonable.
I had the bacon waffle and it was delish!

I went here with my family (4 adults 1 child). After arriving we were told it would be a 5 minute wait. We finally got seated after about 25 minutes. While a little annoyed, places are busy and short staffed.

Fast forward to our service. Our waiter came to our table a grand total of 3 times (one of which, we had to flag him down). Once to take our order, once to drop food off, and once to pay. They take their payment on handheld devices. The waiter was hovering over me while I was entering his tip, which was very uncomfortable and I felt pressured to leave him a better tip than I would have.

Lastly the food. The biscuits were as dry as the Sahara, the coffee tasted off, the eggs looked and tasted like they were made last night, and the bacon had the consistency of charcoal.

I believe this may have been bad luck and maybe just a one off experience, but it definitely moved Cafe Eclectic to my "will not go back" list.
