As a big advocate for small businesses and independent artists, I love that Belltower Artisans strives hard to introduce goers to Memphis pottery and caffeine culture. Everywhere you go to in this shop, there’s a cute little surprise awaiting your end! :)
While I honestly don’t find of their regular caffeinated drinks to be the highlight of my time here(the coffee I ordered tasted very acidic and the matcha tea wasn’t whisked very frothy like in regular Japanese tea ceremony), I really appreciate being in a cafe that offers its customers positive vibes, free wifi, and a chance to help them understand why it’s important to treat your fellow artists fairly.
Say, would it be possible to host Japanese tea ceremony nights here? Ever since the Way of Tea in Tennessee disbanded, I haven’t had a chance to practice tea ceremony much around here. :(
Plus, it would be great if we can introduce more Memphians to tea culture beyond serving regular bubble tea and bagged tea drinks, especially since I love seeing pottery in action, so to speak. :)

Ended up going here on a whim, we put our names in at another close by restaurant but decided not to wait the hour+ estimated time to be seated. At Belltower we were able to walk right in and sit down. The portions are smaller than I was expecting, but the food was very good, and the coffee was great. 4/5 stars based on portion size more than anything. Staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was good too.

Belltower used to be my favorite coffee spot in Memphis, and I used to drive far out of my way just to go for the awesome drinks and atmosphere. But they changed the hours to close at 3, which with my student schedule means I basically can never make it back into the shop before closing. This was one of two independent coffee shops in Memphis open in the 3-6pm window, and now I’m forced to study at a far worse business. I was so disappointed to see the hour change, and I really hope they’re able to fix whatever issue caused them to change the hours.

Creative faire from kitchen and baristas.
Kitchen service slightly confusing rectified through a brief conversation.
Perfect London Fog well balanced steep allowing me to savor the other flavors. Pesto toast is a must try.

Cay makes me and my friends the best coffee and we love the environment and the food. Good place to study!

Pros: Looks very nice inside and very spacious. Love that there’s tons of spots for outlets and a calm environment.
Things to work on : Ordering process is confusing as you order from your table but are meant to pick up at counter (process isn’t clear for a new customer). Ordered an iced matcha and it tasted pretty watery, definitely not worth $7. Maybe it was a one time thing, so I’ll try another drink and try again.

Amazing coffee, atmosphere, service, and food! From the moment I walked in I knew I would love the place. The barista greeted me immediately and was very friendly. The space is spacious yet cozy, situated next door to a pottery studio. If you want drip coffee you just pick your mug (amongst a fun variety) and they fill it for you. I got two lattes, a sausage biscuit and a chicken biscuit. The chicken biscuit was by far my favorite, light, crispy and super flavorful. The coffee is delicious and from what I saw they support Black owned roasters which is awesome. I will for sure be back every time I’m in Memphis!

Nice place! Stepped in for a cappuccino and sandwich after flying into Memphis. Nice atmosphere for working, studying, or chatting with friends. Very pleasant staff!

Pourovers are great. Good selection of different beans and espresso. Not too impressed with specialty drinks; they're VERY sugary. Takes away from the taste of the coffee.
Food and staff are great.
Edit: Check your orders if you're doing takeout. Mine have been wrong a couple of times.
