Common Ground Coffee Shop

A wonderful find in LaFollette next to Habitat for Humanity. Staff was pleasing. Cappachino better than Starbucks. Only thing missing is that the pastries were not available on our last couple of visits. A good place to meet people for a gathering.

This is a wonderful coffee shop on the lovely main street of LaFollette. We were visiting Norris Lake for a week and I made a point of dropping by. I was greeted by two friendly baristas who made me a delicious peppermint mocha latte and decaf caramel mocha. I waited in the cozy seating area in the front, where they have chess, Monopoly, and some other games that made me want to stay a while. This is definitely a place to stop! None of that cold service you get in big city shops. They are genuinely glad to see you.

Very friendly service and excellent coffee!!

We just got the black coffee (what we normally get) which had good flavor, but it was not very strong. I was a little surprised that the cost was similar to Starbucks when the brew is much weaker. I know Starbucks is not for everyone. I just wanted to write this review to set the proper expectation for those of us that prefer stronger coffee. The staff was very nice and courteous.

We swung in because my wife had an urgent need to use the restroom and this was the closest location available, upon entering, she was told she couldn't use the restroom unless she bought something. No problem, she agreed, but they refused to let her use the restroom till she went back out to the car to get her wallet and buy something FIRST. What kind of service is that when a woman just needs to use a restroom? And who orders prior going to the restroom? I hope they don't treat all their customers this way. Very rude and uncaring in an emergency situation. I hope the management addresses this and changes this unthoughtful policy. Shocked at that treatment of my wife by a supposedly community friendly coffee shop.

Today was the first time that I went there and I'm telling you it is AWESOME and the people there are AMAZING, they are super nice and the coffees and cappuccino and hot chocolates and frappes are EXTRAORDINARY. WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN.

I love this shop! I come hear often when I am studying to get out of my house, and everyone is always very kind. They have an event space in the back so there is plenty of room for groups or going solo. I highly recommend the cold brew!

I really loved their iced mocha, very clean and really comfortable atmosphere. My kids loved some of their little cakes/pies.

DELICIOUS iced coffee. Olivia did a great job serving. She was super clean making my coffee.

We came here to get some coffee while we were in town on vacation. It was delicious coffee and the staff was extremely welcoming. We will definitely stop again next year when we are in town again! 🙂
