Such a wonderful coffee shop. Had a great experience here. I ordered coffee and some baked treats. I was very very pleased with them! It’s a cute coffee shoppe to order to go or sit down and enjoy your items. They had plenty of seating and it’s right by the graduate hotel too so very convenient for the guests as well.

Hours were not changed on Google. Showed up at 4pm yesterday and they changed to Holiday hours. Understand that happens. Hours were posted on a sign in the window. Decided to come back at 7am ( posted sign in window stated 7-3) to buy a few pounds of coffee for Christmas presents. Pitch black and not a soul In sight. Very disappointed.

Stopped in for a pour over only to find this location does not have that. Got an espresso instead and it tasted like the machine had not been cleaned in a while. Not bad but not good.
Location is great. Girl working the counter was super friendly. But the coffee was less than amazing for me.

The best coffee shop in Knoxville area.
This a cozy place. The staff is really really good.
The coffee is AWESOME!!!
I highly recommend the southern pecan, this coffee is amazing. The cold brews are a really good option on the summer.
You can order any coffee on the menu and I promise you won't be disappointed.
You can also buy coffee beans there and have their coffee at home.

The photos were deceiving. I ordered a cappuccino and it was not good. The espresso was decent but the foam was terrible. I'm not sure about sugar drinks but if you're looking for good, traditional coffee drinks then this isn't your place. It should have been a sin that on a Saturday morning it was dead and nobody was here to hang out and get coffee.

It's easy to miss, since it is tucked into the corner of Cumberland Avenue, but if you're a college student then this place should be a second home.
It is great for those times when the library is closed and work needs to get done. The environment is quiet and cozy, the coffee is good, the pricing is great, and there is internet. Granted, it's slow internet - but it's there.
If you're not a student or affiliated with the university and are just looking for a coffee shop, this place may not be the best for you. Parking is a nightmare on the strip, and frankly there are other coffee shops to check out before this one. However, if you're determined to going to every coffee shop in Knoxville, then it is worth checking out.
For students, professors, and anyone else who routinely makes the trip to campus - going to the Golden Roast for a Mocha or Americano during your break is a must.

I love coming here. Right outside of campus perfectly convenient. Fast service, the staff is always friendly. Amazing coffee and muffins. They can get crowded but, that just tells you they’re doing something right.

Coffee and atmosphere are wonderful. Employees were not welcoming or friendly to customers. Talked amongst themselves while customers waited. Gave dirty looks to customers behind their back and openly complained about people not tipping them at Point of Sale. Extremely disappointed as I love to visit local coffee shops while traveling but this did not make me welcome or appreciative of my business.

The coffee was pretty good, but the service, not so much. I am a college student and I happen to get out of class near closing time. I decided to stop by on my way to the library. I happen to walk in a few minutes before they close. The worker was not very kind, she asked me what she could get me, then immediately followed her question with "we close in 6 minutes." She also did not smile at me once throughout my transaction. I ordered and green tea latte, and while she was scooping the matcha, I kindly asked if she could add a little bit extra since I forgot to ask while ordering... she looked at me and rudely said "no I can't." As a barista myself, I know you can, but she didn't give me any sort of reason why. I understand that it might be extra or something, but say so, instead of just saying no, so next time I would know, if I ever even come back here again. So I payed 6$ for a milky iced green tea latte that was filled to the brim... to the BRIM with ice. Now, hear me out, the drink was not bad, I just prefer a bit extra matcha powder. I would absolutely love to try this coffee shop out again, but i'm not sure if ill be back. When an employee looks miserable while making a customers drink, and being unkind, it puts a bad taste in my mouth. This coffee shop looks so welcoming, unlike this employee.

The good- I had the Samocha which was a coconut mocha which was delicious. I ordered extra espresso as I usually do I love my coffee stronger. She immediately offered a little extra flavor and half n half in place of milk. She showed an understanding of the drinks she was making and did it all. The espresso looked nice coming out with a nice crema being formed. A+ drink!
The bad- I discovered it by mistake is tucked back in on campus but that's probably because that's who is really meant for but if you want to bypass the chain on main and get up around the corner you'll find a far better coffee.
The Ugly- the are not in Michigan
Overall- nice atmosphere, though I took it to go, nice set up great coffee worth the explore to find it if you are not in campus to know where it's at.
