This place gets 5 out of 5 stars for the win today! You ladies & all of your staff have been an absolute delight, & your place was nothing but charming out here in the beautiful country side of Gallatin. So thank you ladies, I will definitely be coming back very soon! 🌻😊🌻

I've only been twice. Each time has really been nice. The service is thoughtful and fast. The chatter in the room is pretty loud, there are so many people there to connect with each other! I especially love their strawberry pretzel salad because my grandmother would make it. Funny, I think jello must be protected by copyright, so it's the "congealed" salad 😊 The plate in the picture was called the "Trio" and cost $10.99. Soup of the day, petite salad and grandma's salad, with a complementary chocolate covered strawberry.

Great food and service. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely go here if you are in the area.

Nice place in Hendersonville/Gallatin area to grab brunch or lunch in a quaint old home. Sandwiches were fresh and tasty, but typically are served with a bag of plain Lays potato chips vs a freshly made soup or side. Also have several good dessert options to finish off your meal, including the strawberry shortcake!

I love going here! I have my favorite table near the window. It takes me about 90 plus minutes to travel here. I recommend the trio salad!!! Friendly and helpful staff! My son took me for the first time a out seven months ago! I just keep going back. Lynn

Perfect hot ham sandwich on cinnamon toast and better than expected Italian wedding soup. White chocolate covered strawberry was a wonderful ending to a delicious meal. Our Red Hats club had a delightful gathering in a beautiful Saturday afternoon !

Not really sure how this place has such a high rating. Yeah, the sandwich was good. But that’s all I can say. It’s insanely overpriced. It’s literally a little sandwich with a bag of chips for $10. Plus the fact that it is covered with water stains and falling apart walls and all the little rooms are crazy loud. I just truly don’t get the appeal at all.

Beautiful setting, phenomenal selection and incredible food for a very reasonable price!

Didn't dislike anything I tried and we got quite a bit.
My mom had an egg salad croissant with Italian wedding soup, and a side salad (can't remember the name of it now but it was the top of their list). I had a turkey sandwich with this spinach dip spread (also can't remember the name of it) with chicken florentine soup, and the potato salad. We both tried some of the alcoholic drinks, the lemonade with cucumber and mint and chocolate martini and for our other drinks coffee and fruit tea. The service was great, love the ambiance of the place. The bathroom was so nice that I was shocked. The little store is so cute and I love the chance to support small businesses/local artists. Everything was clean and they had a mask policy as well as sanitizer everywhere to protect the customers. Definitely want to return here.

Not a great experience. We usually love this place but went on Saturday and were disappointed. It was very busy and we were in no hurry but once we sat down and ordered it took 30 minutes for 2 cold sandwiches and chips. That would be OK if the large tables around us didn't get served in half the time. There was little attention paid to us once we ordered. Server no where to be seen. The food came and was disappointing. Chicken salad crossaint was just that...chicken salad on a crossaint. No tomatoes, lettuce or even an attempt to make it look good. Just the crossaint and chips on a white plate. Turkey BLT made with crumbled bacon. Not bad but certainly nothing special. Never got the namesake Chocolate Covered Strawberry on the plate that was listed on the menu and has for many years been their signature. When I went up front to pay they told me that they changed things and I needed to pay at the table. I explained that we were not informed and I just wanted to pay and go it seemed like no one could take my $ at the register located directly in front of me. I asked about the strawberry and if they stopped doing it she said no and said she would get me some to go. I explained that not a single plate had chocolate covered strawberries on them. She left and came back empty handed and then asked if I was sure that I didn't want then to go? I never said that so I just got my receipt and left. Bottom line is if it says it on the menu and you are out you need to tell the guest especially when it is your calling card. The communication was poor so it was a disappointing visit and it will be some time before I return. It was the lunch for mother's day and was a big let down. I was told it was their busiest day of the year but that does not excuse the lack of communication and looking past the guest's expected experience. I have 40 years in the foodservice industry and rarely write a review but this place has changed and lost some of its heart. Too bad, I really used to admire their business. No one cared about our experience when told and we were allowed to leave dissatisfied. That's the missing half of food / service.
