The setting is beautiful. The decor/interior is wonderful. Love the vibe and mood. The person that helped us was so friendly, but it seemed like not other employees were interested in doing much, so service was a bit slow because it felt like a one woman show. But at least when we got our two lattes, they were excellent.

I stopped in for the first time yesterday to take a work call while traveling through the area. I didn't get anything to eat, but the cold brew was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was friendly. I ended up purchasing a bottle of wine, a shirt, and a sticker as well! I hope to be able to return to this spot sometime soon. Thank you for a great visit!

Absolutely loved it here. We came for my birthday and had delicious salads, pourover coffees and cakes. Staff were very friendly and helpful and my kids were made to feel welcome, even though there were no other kids there. Nice mix of people. The outside seating was beautiful, such a nice location. Enjoyed their wine selection too! Wish they’d done their cheese board and/or their egg dishes at lunchtime too bc as a vegetarian my options were a bit limited (and I love cheese and eggs!) but I understand it’s common for lunch places to do this. Highly recommend this place and hope to return!

Wonderful ambience (reminds me of a Seattle area coffee shop, but without the tweakers). Their wet cappuccino is amazing and their biscuit breakfast sandwich is made fresh and it's mouthwateringly delicious.
It's right off the highway but didn't feel like it. Right outside the back windows is a beautiful view of nature.

Fantastic venue and location. Great coffee. It’s one of our favorite spots.

Our food and drinks were exceptional and so was the service. Atmosphere was gorgeous- I will definitely be visiting again when I am in town!

1st time here, I had oatmeal with berries on top, brown sugar and milk. It is recommend..
House coffee is good, Spearfish creek just outside. Snowing this morning. Good mellow music playing in the background.
Local art for sale.
I will have to come back another time and try some wine.
Great place to meet for business, do homework or have a date.
Good service, good food& clean.
5 stars from me.

Very expensive for what you get. A basic sandwich you could make from Wal-Mart ingredients for $2 will cost $10-14 here. Basic lays potato chips, and everything is small portions. No soy milk option. Their dill pickles taste like chemicals, I’m not sure what’s going on there. They charge CRAZY prices for the simplest stuff… like a “dessert” platter with grapes and marshmallows for $15. Tiny soup portions. It’s seriously like THE most basic budget picnic food.
In contrast for Spearfish, at places like Green Bean and Common Grounds you get nice big sandwiches and gourmet kettle chips for roughly the same price. I guess tat Creekside you’re paying for some hipster modern (uncomfortable) atmosphere. No hate I’m just being honest.

The best coffee shop 👍
If you need a place to hang out with friends or family, this is it.
I had the rosewater London Fog, just wow 🌹
Staff are friendly too.

I usually like going here for the atmosphere, but today when my husband and I went in, the barista immediately told us that they closed in 30 minutes and that they couldn’t make us any food. Being a former barista myself, I totally understand- but I thought it was incredibly rude being greeted with that. I feel as though a more hospitable way of saying that would be: “hello! unfortunately we close in 30 min, so our kitchen is closed- but i’m more than happy to make you any drinks from our menu”.
They were also out of brewed coffee (I’m guessing they dumped it already but not totally sure on that).
Their coffee is way too expensive for a mediocre taste. My husband felt like he was jipped on flavor for his americano and I felt the same about my coffee. All we could taste was burnt, bitter espresso.
Again- I like going here, but it’s hard to come to a place where you don’t feel welcome at all right when you open the door. Even if it is 30 min to closing. I hope management can take a long, hard look at the way they’re training their staff in service & hospitality.
