There was only 1 dude manning the register, the bar and the kitchen, so a reheated bagel and quiche took a half hour to get, and the quiche was horrible. Coffee was the on point though.

Great place! One of the coolest things is that they are open all the way til 9:00! (unlike a lot of the other coffee shops in the area) Thank you!

After getting to know the manager and staff, as well as learning and understanding coffee roasting better, Cottonwood is hands down the best place in Brookings for coffee and food. Jacob takes the time to make sure that every cup of coffee served is sourced, roasted, and brewed the bring the highest quality of coffee in all of SD.

Overall pretty good (whatever your interpretation of THAT is when it comes to rural SD) coffee shop. Lattes are palatable enough, but depending on the barista could DEFINITELY use some work. Never tried any pastries but they look tempting. Seating could be more cozy in my opinion. Interesting choice of music.
They have like 20 ply super soft toilet paper in the men’s room - impressive.
Cuban latte is my favorite and this is a good spot to study if you find yourself in brookings.

Excellent single origin coffee and fantastic espresso drinks. Heck, even the PB&J bagel I had was a slam dunk. Great service too. An absolute gem of a place.

This is my favorite coffee shop in town! The staff is super friendly all the time and the coffee ia great. It is often fully specially during the weekends but it is worth the wait.

Good coffee and great conversation, as always. And, as with many of the local businesses, they're invested in the fun of ESPN broadcasting GameDay live out of SDSU the weekend.

Very cute, cosy atmosphere. Plenty of board games and the staff is always very pleasant. Art decorates the walls and the bathrooms are always very clean.

Awesome place!! Relaxing atmosphere with some of the best coffee in town. Jacob, the owner, will make sure your visit is great. A must for coffee-lovers or book worms.

My baristas was Katelyn she was terrific! She made the best iced coffee I've ever had! Ask her for her favorite and you wont be disappointed!
