An elegant, gourmet, vegan friendly, high quality little shop set right in the center of town. She posts the daily menu on Facebook and everything is prepared by hand, right in her shop. The teas are diverse, from many sections of the globe, as are the hundreds of spices she packages and labels. If it exists, she probably carries it.
Also enticing are the [reasonably priced] exquisite tea and coffee pots, cups, travel mugs and serving containers. Really beautiful, hard to find collector items.
She designed her shop to provide "grab n' go" service for the many professionals and travelers who would normally not have time for a gourmet, healthy snack or lunch item but appreciate the variety as well as ingredients offered. Want to actually sit down to enjoy your food? Enjoy the shaded courtyard adjoining the shop. Metal tables, comfortable chairs, umbrella shades at every table. It feels like an oasis.
This store would rival any high end shop in Charleston, but minus the crowds and high prices. Thank you, Tea Thyme, for being here in Orangeburg! We need more shops like this.

This place is still open (despite other reviews saying they closed), and they have a great selection of loose teas and spices! There are little jars to smell all the teas, and the prices were very reasonable.

This is a long, overdue post about a spot in Orangeburg that is very close to my heart. Tea Thyme has excellent chai always ready in the thermos, for which I have made special trips from my home 25 minutes away. They always have vegan sandwiches/wraps AND vegan baked goods, which satisfies me as a vegetarian with many vegan friends. Their gift selection is thoughfully curated with work by artisans who are given excellent billing. Their spices and tea mixes are surprisingly reasonable in price and of excellent quality. I'm sipping on the Detox tea right now as I battle some kind of stomach ache (the herbs listed, fyi, are mostly herbs indicated for the digestive system versus other areas that can be detoxed herbally). [Correct me if I'm wrong on my medicine.]

Anyway, I adore the gal at the register who is so friendly and sweet with my baby. Owner Theresa is always in the kitchen, and is a knowledgeable and accomplished chef. Please support this gem in downtown Oburg, and head over to the DORA Farmers Market on Tuesdays, also.

This has become one of my favorite spots to visit when I'm looking for a variety of herbal teas and spices. The staff here is more than helpful and I always seem to try something new when I go there.

The best and only herbal/vegan shop in Orangeburg! Absolutely love the energy and the staff is so helpful and interactive with their customers. The store is kept immaculately clean, which is definitely a big plus in my book. I was given a little insight about cooking and was even given some recipes that I'm very excited to try. They will definitely be seeing me again soon!

WOW. Stopped here for lunch on the suggestion of a friend . I had the curried chicken sandwich and Italian pasta salad. Both were great. The curry seasoning was perfect. Enough to have a good curry flavor, but not to overpower the chicken and other spices. The pasta salad, you just have to try it. Simple and FRESH ingredients in everything. Just really good food and at a good price. Much better and better for you than fast food. Very friendly also. Can't wait to go back.

I love this place! I have their sandwiches and pasta salads for breakfast. Their coffees are simply divine and their teas are phenomenal. Tea Thyme now has a garden patio and it is like a little piece of heaven in Orangeburg. I have fallen in love with their decor, their desserts and samosas!!! Oh yeah and their prices are pretty good too.

Awful customer service. I would leave zero stars if able. I called Tea Thyme to inquire about pick-up services. The employee who answered was curt. I called again with a follow-up inquiry, but the same employee hung up upon hearing my voice. I wanted to believe the call dropped, so I called once more, but again, after hearing it was me, there was a pause and the employee deliberately hung up the phone.

I'm incredibly disappointed, as I'd heard such good things about the shop. After such disrespectful customer service, I will never patronize Tea Thyme. If a prospective customer receives such dismissive, rude treatment over the phone, how much more when they are in the store?

A great place with wonderful teas, herbs, lemonades and sandwiches. Nice outside are to eat and friendly staff to assist you with your needs.
