Baker's Sweets Bistro & Bakery

I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with a side of fruit. The chicken salad has been very good in the past, but during MY LAST visit it was horrible! I don't know if someone different made it but it tasted like I was eating nasty barbeque soaked in vinegar.... on a brighter note the nutty praline cake was delicious!

Neiman Marcus cookies, pecan praline muffins, Turkey club, blueberry muffins just one muckgag, this place is excellent. All of the employees exemply excellent customer service. Oh I forgot that coffee was excellent to boot. Not my first visit nor my Iast🥳oh a few years back purchased my uncle's 99 birthday 🎂 cake. 103 is approaching see you all soon.

Puzzled with all of the great reviews. Was visiting from out of state with family for the day (meaning time was precious) and it took over an HOUR for my party's food to come out, and even then, they didn't bring everyone's food at once. By the time the next person got their food, the person before would be finished eating their meal or it would be cold if they waited. About 50 minutes into our experience the waitress came out and apologized for the delay and said food would be right out...30 minutes later until the first person received their food. The wait was absolutely absurd and the food was mediocre at best. The gouda soup tasted like marinara sauce. My chicken tenders were actually chicken nuggets. It took the waitress about 3 tries to get everyone's drink orders correct. Coffee wasn't great, was very overpriced and the baristas didn't seem to have a clue what to do. When all was said and done we had been there for multiple hours and left right before they closed. Even though we had just received our food, staff was rushing us out since they were trying to close shop - which I get, but also, they should have been lenient since they took so long to get us our food. Nothing was offered as an apology - a free cookie or pastry would have been nice...or acknowledgement from a manager for the crappy service. Weird/awful customer service experience, mediocre food. Would not recommend!

OMG, I lived in Sumter when this place first opened. The sweets are straight out of heaven. Loved everyone my daughter and I ever purchased, and we were there a lot! I need to take a vacation again and visit and this place would be a must stop destination. Owner is adorable and sweet. Prices are great, especially compared to Dallas.

The staff were really nice, breakfast was fresh and fast; you can even see them preparing some pastries from the checkout counter. If you’re in the area for lunch or breakfast, definitely eat here!

I went to get to shot of espresso and I was charge 1.60 for each shot total of 3.5 with taxes.
The cashier girl were pretty nasty when I ask for the milk on the side and she ask for additional fee of $.89.
The coffee is good but not that great for such a price.

This place is what Lake City needed. It's comfortable, friendly and delicious. My family and I travel all the way from Virginia to eat at this place. I love Baker's Sweets and encourage everyone to visit. I give it 10 stars!!!!!!
