Awesome place with lots of local stuff. They have ice cream made by Sweet Cream specifically for them, Double Trouble Donuts, locally made jams, etc... They serve food, their soups are great, I like the gourmet PB&J with watermelon raspberry jam. Dirty Hippy is a mean chai tea latte. Also can't go wrong with a smoothie.

Love this place. Good food and good coffee. The baristas are always nice. I just wish they were open a little later into the afternoon. Love going here to get some work done in the PM.

My family loves TLB!! Only wish is that we had one in NE or Blythewood! If you like friendly staff, comfy and clean seating, yummy food made fresh (especially the sweets!!), and a relaxing environment..... The Local Buzz is the place for you and your family! β€οΈππ»π

Not only are the coffee and pastries delicious, the owner and staff work with developmentally disabled people to help find them meaningful employment. It feels good to enjoy sitting in a great local coffee shop and knowing that being a customer here also supports the community.

I have come here and had several good experiences with only getting a drink, but after today's experience, I don't think I will return. We ordered simple food, avocado toast topped with a poached egg, and grits with eggs, cheese, and a side of bacon. Stuff that was on the menu. Nothing crazy. We sat and chatted and waited... and waited... and waited. After at least 30 minutes, I asked what was going on and was told the food was being made from scratch, but would be out soon. Another 15 minutes passed and it finally arrived. When I asked what took so long she said the bacon was raw and had to be cooked. Bacon doesn't take that long to cook. She told me they dont have a fryer and had to cook it in the oven. I don't know about you, but I usually cook bacon in a pan. You know, just like the eggs were cooked. My $5 piece of toast had a smear or avocado and a boiled egg sliced on top. I was so disappointed, since I had waited so long, I hoped it would be worth it. There are definitely better coffee shops in Columbia, so I won't be returning here where it takes an hour to cook bacon.

Amazing food, amazing coffee, amazing atmosphere. Everything you'd want in a coffee shop. The inclusive and welcoming nature of the shop makes this a great place to grab a bite to eat or a quick stop for some great coffee.

Friendly people with great food! They have vegan and gluten free options. Great coffee and a great staff. I can never get a picture because I eat the food too fast.

Seriously one of the best coffee spots in town! The baked goods are to die for and the staff are so welcoming.

There is nothing quite like a neighborhood cafe! You walk in and you see 5 people you know. Itβs cool & hip and warm & cozy at the same time! LOVE this place! Great catering!!! Highly recommend.

$4 for a cappuccino, plus tax, and a tip. $6 bucks for a VERY bad cappuccino. The beans were noticeably stale. It tasted like stale brewed coffee with a dollop of steamed milk on top. I took two sips and gave it back and left. I have a high tolerance for bad coffee and will even grab McDonalds in a bind. The difference is I pay a dollar or so for McD's. In theory I was excited to have a coffee shop within walking distance of home. In reality I'll still drive the extra distance for a decent cup of coffee. $6 for a very poor product. Very disappointed with the Local Buzz.
