We were looking for a place to eat after an appointment and decided on the red shorts cafe. Was definitely a wonderful choice the food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The music playlist was fantastic with the 50's.

The Red Shorts Cafe is fantastic! I have eaten there many times and each time I have been impressed with the preparation, the delicious taste of their entrées and the creativity of their menu. Excellent! Their breakfasts can’t be beat. Succulent omelettes, a variety of eggs Benedict and probably the BEST pancakes ever. Try the lemon, poppyseed pancakes and you will be back for more. Jane and Victor, owners and chef, are lovely people and they really know what they are doing. I would highly recommend a trip to this restaurant. Then you will keep going back.😊👍👍

Amazing food and great specials! Near downtown shopping. Always stop here when thrifting in the area.

Absolutely wonderful experience. I had three eggs scrambled with Swiss, chorizo sausage biscuits and gravy, and the girlfriend had chocolate chip pancakes and sausage. Everything was cooked to perfection! The spice was for flavour, not heat, and the eggs actual eggs. The pancakes light, crispy yet fluffy. Absolutely divine. Would recommend!

I am very disappointed. The pancakes here the first 2 times I went were absolutely amazing. In fact I drove 45 minutes just for the pancakes. But the last 2 times I have been there the pancakes have been burnt. They tasted terrible. I don’t understand how you can burn pancakes. I am not going to return again.

First time visitors with my 3 kids. Waited a bit for a table, but everyone was so friendly & apologetic, it was fine. Once seated, our beautiful & friendly waitress with the adorable green hair, took our drink orders, then food orders shortly after. No kids menu, meant our meals cost more than most meals out with my children, which was the only negative for me. Otherwise, the food came quickly, coffee was constantly topped off, & everything was delicious. Will definitely be back soon.

I’ve been going here once or twice a month for about a year and a half now, and I really don’t think anywhere else can compete for breakfast. Their menu goes beyond the basic diner, the workers are genuinely friendly and seem happy to be there (waitresses, cooks, owners all included), and the building/decor style feels more homey than a lot of places I’ve been to, especially in the area.

Was my first time there today. Have gone in the past when it was Carole’s. Went for my birthday breakfast with my husband. Was greeted by a waitress with blue hair and told we had to sit in the tables for 2, 2 of which were already occupied and very close together. We wanted some privacy so we sat at a small table for 3 near the window. All other tables were empty as it wasn’t busy. The first comment made to us was how that table was saved for a party of 3. I could see if it was busy, but it was not. Just put me in a bad mood the rest of the visit. I just didn’t get a friendly vibe. Nothing about it was welcoming. There was loud echoing laughing from behind the counter. My 2 pancakes were decent but pricey ($8.50). But I probably won’t be back. Happy birthday to me. ☹️

Best. Breakfast experience. Ever. From start to finish the staff was friendly and accommodating and the food...phenomenal. The pancakes were fluffy but crisp on the outside. Every buttery bite was pure bliss. Syrup? What's that? These delicious stacks as big as the plates can proudly stand alone. The omelets were perfectly portioned and packed with flavor. We're from out if town and so glad we stopped. We'll happily drop in again if we are passing through!

Best French toast in town! Service is always fast and friendly but the atmosphere is a little cramped.
