The food here is very good, the only reason I didn't give it a higher score is its very disorganized. I went for breakfast and the person delivering food to the tables gave my wife and I the wrong order, then came back and gave my wife her order, then almost gave my sandwich away to someone else. We came back for lunch and despite repeating my order 3 times, one of the items I clearly ordered was missing from my order and my receipt. Nice people, but I feel like handing out trial samples of Adderall ever time I go there.
Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!! Everything here is amazing! From the staff to the food.
The food was by far not what I expected after reading other reviews. I had the quiche was very tiny , not very warm, and not very flavorful ! wouldn’t recommend it. The potatoes on the side were nothing extraordinary either. C- for the meal , the cafe was nice - staff were polite. But not a return in my future.
Cute place for a lunch date with the wife. I would suggest going before or after peak lunch time because the quaint, cozy feel means there's not a lot of seating and this place gets busy. If it's warm, sit outside, but if it's cold, it's a struggle. Service was great and the food was a step up from normal lunch venues, making it even better for a date.
Currently sitting in the cafe writing this review. The food was just great and drinks are amazing. The waffles were soooo good and the avocado chicken bacon wrap was phenomenal. Highly recommend if you’re looking to show someone a good breakfast and lunch cafe!! Thanks for great service :)
Googled coffee shop near me and was pleased to find an independent place in the chain store desert of the far west side. Warm cozy place that smells of what must be amazing waffles, though I didn’t order them. I’ll be here every time I need coffee and or need to work on my laptop and have a lovely waffle.
One of my favorite breakfast places on the west side!
I came in early in the morning to pick up some pastries on the way to work. I looked at what I wanted in the display case before going to the register. When I ordered my first pastry, the cashier told me they were out without checking. A coworker had to help find them in the display case. I ordered a second item and the cashier told me they didn't serve that, despite having a label for them in the display case. Again, a quick check of the case disproved that. He asked if I wanted the pastries warmed up, which I did, but didn't go directly to do that even though no one else was coming in. After a five minute wait, he put them in the microwave for 30 s before passing them over to me. Needless to say, they were cold and a weirdly damp. One had good flavors, but not enough to redeem the experience. I would not return.
This place might have the best breakfast sandwich in Madison. The coffee was good, but nothing to go out of the way far. The service was friendly and timely. Would recommend if you're in this part of town.
We ended up going there for lunch because it stated it was allergen friendly and our son has a milk and egg allergy. We looked online and one of the menus featured a few options for him. Upon arriving we found out that those options are actually no longer available and they had no lunch options for kids that are allergy friendly. The only option being a vegan waffle and there was only one vegan option for the bakery which was a brownie. We decided to leave. The food did look great but disappointed by the advertising of it and not actually being allergy friendly.
Clean friendly staff. Coffee is good. Did not eat.
This is one of the best coffee spots for me. Great staff, cosy, unique space. Like to go here every day instead of SB. One star taken for plastic lids given even when ordering “for here”. Min effort to ask if i want a lid to generate more useless plastic garbage would help.
Great atmosphere! Loved the coffee chats and had a great waffle! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
This place has a great atmosphere along with delicitable coffee. Try their speciality menu or their latte's they are amazing. Also, I appreciate getting points when I go there.
Shockingly good, worthy of a brag, delicious breakfast. Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had, amazing cinnamon roll waffle, and delicious smoothie. Only thing I wish is that it wasn't 3 hours away.
My daily driver for work, always a great experience with the coffee and the baristas in the morning! Good coffee and cozy little shop.
Bright airy coffee shop. Convenient location for walking, biking, or driving. I ordered a blueberry and strawberry waffle to-go on their website. Everything was ready on time, with knife and fork in the box. The waffle was delicious. Nothing crazy or different, just a solid carby breakfast treat
Sausage was ice cold. Potatoes not much better. Silverware was dirty. When sent the sausage and potatoes back - they just heated in the microwave making the potatoes overcooked. Yola would be rolling in her grave.
Yola's is one of my go-to breakfast and brunch places in west Madison. No matter what you order, it's going to be delicious. The menu overall is thoughtfully designed, and I love seeing seasonal options pop up as the weather cools down! On top of the fact that the restaurant is hands-down high quality, the staff are so kind and the service is quick (even during a busy lunch hour on a Friday!). There is usually room to find a table either inside or outside without having to wait. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. If you're looking for a quaint spot to enjoy breakfast, brunch, or lunch (and a top-notch coffee), skip the Starbucks and pop into Yola's.
