Great double shot decal hazelnut latte. Great place to have coffee. One of the best coffee shops I've been to and I've been to many of them.
I can’t believe I haven’t left a review yet, as I practically live there. Patrick and his crew give me hope for humanity. They’re the best kind of people and I always feel at home at the Victory. The coffee is secondary to the community and charm, but is still pretty damn good! 1000 outta 10 recommend this cafe
I just had the most beautiful and kind interaction with my pup Yuka at Victory in Madison. We live in the neighborhood and theres lots of coffee shops to choose from. But after feeling so welcomed and wrapped up in community and care, Victory has quickly moved to the top of that list. These are top notch people and that makes me want to support and frequent their business that much more !!! If you're looking for a cafe on the East side please stop by Victory :) (PS i've never written a review before but this experience was note worthy)
I agree with the review that found the staff to be not super welcoming. I stood at the counter for three full minutes before anyone spoke to me. Both of the workers were busy and made eye contact, but no smiles or words were given until they were ready to take my order. However, they kindly honored a super old gift certificate, and I got a tasty sandwich, chips, and coffee for only $8. Everything was clean, and I loved the music they had on. I would go again!
A hidden gem indeed! Patrick and all of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a self-proclaimed and very particular coffee drinker, I can also confirm their coffee is the best I have had in Madison. UPDATE 1/6/23: Unfortunately surrounding coffee shops simply do not know how to make espresso drinks properly and simply aren’t worth your time or money. I highly recommend checking out The Victory Madison if you’re looking for a strong cup of coffee or a rich creamy latte. Yesterday, Patrick made me the most delicious lavender latte I’ve ever had!! Extra bonus: dog friendly for the doggos!!

We were greeted with « hey! » from somewhere in the cafe, and then the barista showed their head with a very annoyed look and tone. If I wasn’t so desperate for caffeine I would have walked out. Vanilla latte had no detectable vanilla either. Danish was soggy. $17 wasted. It’s a shame because it seems like it would be a hip little café to frequent. If I were the owner, I would probably do a little more spot checking on the staff. The vibe is less than friendly.

Alright so I feel bad roasting a small local business but man my mocha was aggressively bad, made with powdered cocoa and the darkest bitterest sour over extracted espresso pulled out of a machine that looks like it's been through the war and is regularly whipped. Coffee was spraying everywhere! There is another reviewer that mentions some questionable cleanliness and food safety practices. I watched my barista pour milk back into the jug after over pouring for my 12 oz drink. The whole place needs someone to invest some time, love and cash into it to bring it up standard. I'd probably go to a Starbucks before here and I really hate Starbuck s coffee.
I went in after reading the rave reviews. I asked what they use for pour over and the barista didn’t know, then another told me they use their espresso blend. The pour over was very mediocre. I didn’t even finish it, which is rare. My fiancé got the brewed coffee which was alright. It was super warm inside, and pretty cramped.
Wonderful coffee, great service & tasty food! Love the neighborhood feel and thankful for location. Good place to write, read or visit with friends.
Employee was super attentive and caring and the hot paninis we got to go were tasty. We just wish the countertops and employee's hands were cleaner, hence the 4/5. We're sympathetic because only one person was working and there was a bit of a rush an hour before closing, but we didn't see the employee wash hands between orders, they weren't wearing gloves, and the prep station hadn't been wiped down well.
