Excellent espresso served with a small glass of sparkling water. Outdoor seating on nice weather days.

Best breakfast I’ve had in awhile. Everything bagel had so much flavor and bacon was perfectly crispy and chewy

I come often to JPH, but have become really annoyed about the bad air quality and grease smell. When I leave the coffee shop after an hour or two, I smell like grease, smoke, and coffee grounds! My clothes and hair are FULL of it, which is... not how I want to smell. Other people can smell it on me. I have to wonder about the air quality in our lungs and for the staff: is it safe for the air quality to be this bad? I hope that the management takes note and remedies this. There are many coffee shops on the Isthmus that don't have bad air quality, which suggests that there's something the owners can do about it.

We have stopped too many times while at work throughout the day. The mushroom toast is my favorite. The Sunday breakfast sandwich is also a popular go to.

Perfect place to get a well-mixed Mocha. It’s a fun atmosphere and the staff are always very nice even when rushed. A bit pricey- 16oz Mocha (xtra shot) for $7.50. But, it’s a very convenient location for me and I’ve never had any complaints.

Madison staple. Some of the best coffee around and delicious food to boot. Great community around the shop as well!

Great place to stop for coffee and breakfast. Ordered the regular breakfast sandwich, pancakes, a vanilla latte, and cappuccino. The sandwich was $9 and on the smaller side, but tasted great and had fresh ingredients! The pancakes had an orange zest and spicy essence which was unique. The coffee drinks were good as well and they use house made syrups! The menu isn’t updated and syrup is now a $0.65 up charge. They serve Kin-Kin coffee and you get a free shot of espresso when you buy a bag! Great atmosphere, plenty of seating, and lovely staff. Will be back!

A 12oz. mocha with syrup is $6, but when that syrup is rosemary or lavender caramel, you may think it's worth it. Typical hipster shop interior. Haven't tried their food but I'd come back for it.

Super yummy and great and great place to study but a tad pricey. I'd go more if I could afford to.

Great place to eat, it was great coffee and very nice place to relax. I will go back again. It is affordable and great place to talk to people with kind ownership along with nice college students. It's a very busy place yet it stands out I hope they get more coffee to sell. I hope to see the place grow over the next year. I found it an Ethical place for people to come and go as they please. I really enjoyed my sandwich and my brother loved his sandwich also. Fresh food and lemonade.

There’s a reason locals consistently mention JPH as a top coffee shop in town. The staff are super friendly and the espresso it top notch. Hot or iced lattes are perfect with their selection of syrups. Never too sweet and just the right amount of spice. My favorite thing is reading the “let me buy you a drink” board while I wait to order. Makes me smile every time and highlights the community they’ve built in their space.

Excellent service, atmosphere was super relaxed and friendly, food was surprisingly good. We got the regular breakfast sandwich and 3 eggs a la carte with bacon and pesto. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. You can tell these people love what they do and take pride in their work. Highly recommend.

Food was fine. We had sassy toast and tuna melt. Service was not very welcoming tho, they seem not to care about friendliness much.

Very cool little place with great atmosphere and, more importantly, great coffee. Just being a block away doesn't hurt either.
