Love the new space! Coffee was perfect everyone loved their treats. Would love if you had a gf/vegan treat option but understand it's a niche.

This place convinced me that the Midwest has no idea what coffee is. I asked for a latte and the barista was confused. I had to specify that it was a shot of espresso with milk. She ended up giving me a cold brew. The worst part is, it wasn't even good. Be for real.

Very loud atmosphere and good for families and children. Had a English muffin breakfast sandwich that was small and took them at least 20 minutes to make for take out. Breakfast muffins and donut selection was very small, no croissants or cinnamon rolls. Would not recommend if you want something to go.

I used to hang out at this cafe nearly every day with my friend when we were in college. They have ice creams and good paninis. The only down side is the parking as they don’t have enough parking space.

"Temporarily" closed?! The building has been torn down!

They no longer have prices posted for their drinks on the menu board. It's an unsettling experience. The atmosphere inside has just changed a lot over the years, not as cheerful or welcoming.

Beware this place doesn’t like black people, Different prices depending on who you are I tested this out with my Hispanic husband. This place should be shut down

My go to neighborhood coffee shop. I love everyone on staff here. The drive through has dog treats. Seriously though - get some tunes! Get a little jazz playing low or, well, ANYTHING. 🙏

Love the breakfast sandwiches with the boom boom sauce. Most employees are really friendly/kind and that’s super important for it being a typical first stop in the day. Coffee is great. Italian sodas are great and a fun change of pace. The gelato is also yummy, especially when you mix with coffee for a drink.

Very friendly breakfast/lunch café. The staff were helpful and the food was good. I had a decaf latte which was tasty and their breakfast quesadilla. Only constructive criticism I have is that the food was americanized. If the quesadilla was just a bit more authentic they would have got a 5.

Main reason I come is it's the closest coffee drive through on my way to work and I'm just getting basic coffee. The baked goods are pretty good. Some of the drink orders can be hit or miss - my flavored latte today tasted more like milk than any of the actual flavor I ordered, but other times they've been great. Tried a breakfast sandwich for the first time though and it took a pretty long time and was burnt- plus the bacon seemed like the cheapest bacon you can get at a store.

Hot coffee, delicious pastries, and even more delicious gelato!! I can't say Java Cat is one of our favorite coffee places in Madison; every time we've gone, they've been very busy and our coffees very rushed. Otherwise, your typical coffee stop (plus delicious gelato)!

Rude and unhelpful service :( Asked for the ingredients in the smoothies and got told “fruit and milk on ice” but there was NO FRUIT in the smoothie The drink was $6 for a small!!! I saw them making it and it was made with juice from concentrate NOT REAL FRUIT I expressed with the workers that I am unhappy that it’s “SMOOTHIE” and they all did not care about my experience or concerns I do NOT RECOMMEND coming here Rude service, misinformation, bad tasting, and over priced “smoothie” I wish I could rate -10/10

Awesome prices. Friendly staff. Drive-thru. Gelato! What more do you need? A patio ? Cool, they have that too!
