Terrific sandwiches and delicious espresso make this a tiny gem on Regent Street. Check out the courtyard in the back if the weather cooperate.

Why did they ask for tips when a latte costs $4.5 and it's a takeaway? I regretted not asking again when I came out after paying 1 dollar. Is it because I'm a foreigner? I paid $5.75 for latte.

Indie Coffee is one of the best coffee shops in Madison. It has a really nice vibe and the baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. Best waffles around!

I would be a regular during the week if the staff wasn't so chatty and loud, despite most patrons trying to read or work in peace. Like why does this place sound like the outside of a frat party at 11am?? Considering leaving promptly

Maybe it's just me, but I love the cozy atmosphere of this place. It has a lot of hustle and bustle energy, but it also feels homy. I jusy finished eating a VEGAN wrap, and it was delicious. Drspite it being super busy, I was able to find an open seat, and the food came out only a few minutes after I ordered it. Maybe I got lucky, but either way, impressive! My only wish is that it were open later -- if it were, I bet I'd come here many evenings. Anyways, I work in the service industry, and so I know how hard these people are working. Respect!

What I liked: The retro aesthetics are cool. I had a latte with oat milk and it tasted pretty good. What I didn't like: I ordered an egg and cheese bagel. There was so much cheap cheese it made me feel sick. The shop is very small, and it feels super crowded.

I’m not sure how long this place has been here but OMG! My boyfriend and I “discovered” it recently and it reminds me of the indie coffee shops in Austin, where I moved from. We love it! The staff was super friendly, coffee and bagels were amazing. But really it’s about the atmosphere for us! Also, we were happy to find a coffee shop open later than 4pm!

I have gotten two coffees here that I have loved so far: black & white and s’mores. Both have been amazing. I also got the egg double cheese bagel which was decent. I’m only giving four stars because of the interior. They should really upgrade to a larger store or take out some seating because it’s always packed. There’s barely enough room to walk up and give your order while people are trying to leave. The tables inside have you sitting back to back with other people and overall just not a welcoming environment with so many people. I would recommend for there coffee, but not as a place to go in and social with friends.

This staple of Regent is more than just a stop for caffeine. In fact, if you stop by early morning before classes or during finals week, you'll find the tables filled and a wait for your order. The wait is worth it for fresh made waffles, delicious breakfast sandwiches, and addicting lunch sandwiches. Thankfully you can order ahead online because the coffee is craft made and insanely delicious. There's a wife selection of teas, baked goods, and other treats to entice you to stay a while, if you have the time. My go to is their house-made Chai and Green Eggs & Ham breakfast sandwich.

Super cute, awesome food, and huge coffee for the price (large was like $9 and must have been 20oz). Staff was incredibly friendly!

The best little coffee shop I could ask for!!! Prices aren’t outrageous, food is hearty, employees are wonderful, and the overall atmosphere is absolutely charming. If I could rate it higher I would.

Got a waffle and latte, which both were good. Place was packed, but there was enough space to squeeze Into a seat.

First time here in November 2022. It was around 10am and busy but not packed. The staff was amazing and the food was great too. BUT this was an extra special experience for me and my wife...😮 We're having a baby! 😍 We had just finished the 20 week ultrasound and received the gender/sex assigned in an envelope. We googled "brunch" and indie coffee was close by. We asked the staff to take the secret envelope and make us a waffle with strawberries for "girl" and blueberries for "boy". They had a great attitude and congratulated us with enthusiasm! 😊 Special shout out to JJ for making our spontaneous gender reveal party a great success. ♥️ Also, the chai and pesto omelette focaccia sandwich was delicious. 👍👍
