I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed this place sooner. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious and the drinks hit the spot. I'm a huge fan of the growlers. It's a great way to stock up on chai for the day. I was in this morning and mistook the chicken salad for a chicken salad sandwich. The lady I was working with was quick to correct me. It was a chicken salad. She offered me a tortilla on the side so I could make a wrap. It was the perfect solution. They even offered to warm up the tortilla for me. It was delicious and convenient. It was so good that I'm going to have to try making my own salad wraps at home. What a great idea!

The coffee is fairly traded on the world 🌍 marketplace. No unmarked fees for the people who picked the beans for our pleasure. Now, Fair Trade food is better than excellent most ever day. We've our bad days yet they have a couple a month to be 😊. Sure. Lastly is the ambiance thing

Had a black bean burger and a cup of potato soup. It was very good. They need to update the website menu prices though.

My first time visiting since moving to Madison was less than enjoyable seeing humanity at such a low. Such a lack of empathy. And I really cannot quite understand why there are limitations on who qualifies to receive any type of normal respect as a paying customer, especially one who was not causing any type of chaos and sits quietly minding oneself. I came in this morning to have a cup of coffee and enjoy a book. Soon after a homeless man came in, quietly, slowing bringing in 3 bags. He placed them as close as he could to his table insuring it wouldn’t be in the way of anyone. He didn’t ask anyone for money. He pulled out loose change, and maybe 2 dollar bills. He paid for his coffee, and sat down and continued to leave everyone alone and didn’t bother not one person. Wouldn’t say a word to anyone, not even to himself. I saw his remaining money on the table. It consisted of only pennies. Just being a compassionate human being myself, and also seeing he was oh so respectful of the establishment, I thought it wouldn’t be inappropriate to buy this man, who is a paying customer himself and isn’t bothering anyone, and doing absolutely nothing wrong being there given these two facts, a meal. An egg, turkey, and cheese bagel. This sandwich could be the thing that feeds him not only for one meal, but for several. It could last several days. And since he was oh so respectful of everyone at the establishment, I figured he was more than deserving of kindness back. The employees were less than impressed. I soon after went up to the counter and asked for a Togo cup to put my coffee in, and a male cashier treated me like I was a burden and truly just so bothersome to the establishment that I help a respectful, quiet, paying customer pay for food to go with his drink. Like I said, less than enjoyable.

I really like this spot! Close to downtown. Wide selection of food and drinks. The hot cocoa is delicious! It was perfect for the cold season. Conveniently located downtown. Lots of seating inside. Very cool art all over the walls. The staff was friendly and fast as well.

Really great selection of pastries, croissants, scones etc. About 30 different coffee flavors, plus a decent assortment of food offerings. Good for lunch or just a coffee break. About 20 different hot tea flavors as well, if that’s your jam.

We stopped by not much before closing time. We ordered a hot mocha and a hot turtle mocha. They weren't hot considering they were freshly made so not sure what's going on there. My turtle was undrinkable. The syrup had a strong artificial flavor and the plain mocha wasn't much better. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.
