okay so here's the thing. i placed an order this morning via doordash and was delivered the wrong order. (honestly, i can't even get mad b/c a) the names were really similar, and b) i ended up liking what i got, so kayla douglas, if you happen to read this, i'm sorry for eating your food). i was originally going to accept the credit doordash was going to give me but i decided i still wanted the latte i originally ordered instead, so i asked for a redelivery. this time, not only did i get the correct order, but i also got the correct order from earlier as well. i opened the bag of goodies and there was a little note written on some receipt paper apologizing for the doordasher and wishing me a good day/weekend inside. it was such a cute lil surprise and i'm probably going to keep it for an indefinite amount of time because i'm a dirty rat and have hoarding tendencies and like little notes. honestly, it's little things like that that really make or break a day so this made my day. TL;DR: to the employees working at the monroe st. location: thank you and i hope y'all have a lovely day/weekend as well!! :)

Got the Shorewood Breakfast Bowl and got maybe 3 bites of food cuz my bowl came half empty LMAO. Got the hot apple cider which was pretty good, and that’s honestly the only reason i didn’t give 1 star
Simon made my experience with the kids very delightful. I asked for 2 of the hot chocolates to made cool for the kids and mine good and hot. He did! I also had only throw on a $10 bill in my pocket. Iwas a bit short. He was very kind, made up the difference and did not make me feel bad about it. Barriques will now be a for sure stop on our morning walks. And I'll make sure to have enough cash in the future :)!!
The coffee is ok. The vibe is good but it’s usually hard to find a spot to sit. I ordered a grain bowl and after 20 minutes of it not coming out I went up to the counter and they said they “just saw the ticket and will start making it right away.” No apology or comp. That was a bit annoying. It was pretty good but could have used more flavor. I got my money’s worth in pine nuts though!
The drinks have many options and flavors which is nice. Great environment as well. The staff is WOW! Although, I’m giving it 4 stars because some locations are cold, but Monroe St’s location is a sauna. It’s not winter anymore let’s turn it down a bit. Otherwise superb

Finally I found a good coffee spot in the city. Cortado is excellent , made perfect to the ratio. Espresso is excellent. Friendly staff. This store also sells wine and liquor !

Waited 25 minutes for a breakfast sandwich with no one else in line. Apparently the kitchen didn’t see the order. A week, ‘sorry about that’, but nothing more. Give a dude a drink or a cookie, right? Good customer service is so easy and means so much - come on people!
the power grains x chipotle-ranch dressing is amazing
I've only had amazing experiences with this Barriques location. Staff is friendly and helpful, plus the coffee is delicious. I only ever get the pork quesadilla but it's always yummy. Highly recommend getting their mixed greens as a side, their balsamic dressing is amazing!
Nice coffee but slow service and crowded.
Family in front of us didn't wear masks, laughed at the barista taking orders when she asked them to wear them, then didn't tip on a large order as punishment. The staff member remained professional and friendly the whole time. Thanks so much for dealing with people like that to keep us all safe and fill of delicious caffeine! 💜💙❤️
This is my go-to coffee shop on Monroe street. The baristas are friendly and know how to make good espresso drinks! I love that they also have a great variety of wine! On Tuesday they have a buy 2 special. We recently attending a virtual wine tasting, which was fabulous!
Mexican Mocha?.. YES! What a tasty treat for a chilly day. And what better than one of their maple nut scones to go along. Now if we could just sit inside and enjoy it.. (sigh..) = )
You have to try their pesto grilled cheese, it’s delicious!
Love their iced Mexican mocha in the summers! Perfect balance of sweet, spice, and coffee. Also great, their chocolate toffee cookie... Aaand! Awesome whiskey collection. Honestly, their curbside pickup has gotten me through this pandemic summer.
I usually go to Atwood barriques, which is good, but Monroe st barista killed it! The best chai foam ever. Too good!
