This is a great local place for breakfast. The food was great and the service was fast.
The food is great, but the portion sizes are not large enough. It is always extremely busy, and you’re not dealing with the best gene pool of customers. I say that because you order at the counter and are given a number. People putz around and take entirely too long to order. You also have the candidates who feel it’s acceptable to wear crocs and sweatpants in public, these are the wonderful people that leave tables a mess. When there are clear places to put trays and garbage when you’re finished. The staff that brings food to your table doesn’t work for tips.. some people must just be reliant on someone else to clean up after them… Parenting fail for sure. Not the locations fault, they have spectacular food and a diverse unique menu. I only give this joint a four because portion sizes could be larger.

Cute coffee shop with a huge menu. The baked goods are delicious and there’s something for everyone.
Best food in town. The staff work really hard and are still smiling. Love the atmosphere. Wish there were more restaurants like this!!
Nice place for a cup of coffee and sweet treats. The French silk bar was delicious. Lots of options, it appears to be popular for breakfast and lunch

The food was amazing. I had the brisket sandwich and sweet potato fries. We also had several desserts and all were approved.
Amazing food with healthy options to get still a touch of decadence. Fast service. Cozy atmosphere. Wide arrange of beverages. Accessible but although a little tight inside.
The French Press is a staple in Eau Claire for killer breakfast & brunch & coffee (REAL coffee, like all the kinds of coffee you can ask for, and iced…) and they now do Flight Fridays! I took mine to go, each flight comes with 3 drinks
First time here - colleague recommended the Chicken Pot Pie. It was really good, definitely will come back again! Tasty food with vibrant environment.
Was glad to have vegan option with their grain bowl. However they served it with chicken. Told them so they took it back to the kitchen and then re-served it with the chicken picked out—except for one piece (see photo). Had to ask them to remake it. Shouldn’t have to take three tries to get what we ordered.
Very cute spot with nice seating and a fireplace. My chocolate croissant was stale and lacked flavor, but my companions had better luck with their breakfast choices. Coffee was good.

Great place! Great food and drinks! Nice, friendly staff, nice cozy atmosphere. It can get pretty busy with not a lot of seating and parking can get tricky though.
The food is delicious. I read that food will take over 45 min but we were a table of 7 and we got our dishes in leas than 20 min. The barista is awesome, try their Chai. Food is super fresh and made at the time.
I'm disappointed today in The French Press. I was looking forward to eating breakfast with my husband this morning. Both our toasted bread were served cold as well as my potatoes-which I paid extra. I asked for a refund for my cold potatoes and ate the rest. The person reimbursing me made me feel like I was wrong. But I know what cold potatoes are....
Favs are eggs benny (served only on the weekend) & iced honey lavender latte. My daughter also loves the lemon ricotta pancakes!
Had black coffee & the green goddess scramble. Coffee was good, food was good but not amazing. Staff were awesome. Place was very busy, so I think I'll have to go back and try more items.
