We absolutely loved the Lost Dog. The owner is a genius and was a pleasure to talk to. The guy should write a book on service because they get it right. Personalized service - no “step to the side, next!” nonsense. You see them making your coffee. The cortados we ordered were so good we can back the next morning and ordered them again. The ambience is perfect, If you can grab a seat outside, it’s one of the best places in town to sit and relax. I live five hours away in Staten Island, but I can’t wait to go back.

We live in NY and come here ever time we are visiting family. It is the best coffee we’ve found in the area. Usually always a line, but it is worth it! We also buy the teas to bring home and they are great!

This a cute and special place that are not around much anymore. The art of making special coffees and teas is great. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable

We stopped by this coffee shop while on a mini vacation in town, it's truly a place that has to be visited. Stopping inside and taking a look takes you to an experience like no other, and warrants many more visits. This place started my tea addiction, and was even worth the second trip back exclusively for coffee and tea. If you want a completely new experience whether it's a quick drink on the go or a new hobby of brewing tea and coffee this should be your go to. You can get lost looking at the Pu Erh teas from Asia and, the staff has amazing recommendations even when you have no clue what you are looking at. Will definitely be visiting again soon for more of everything.

I already know the owner is going to tell me all the reasons I'm wrong for writing this review because he told us all the reasons we were wrong for what we ordered. After being ignored for 10 minutes by both employees we ordered very simple drinks which the man working made very grudgingly. Seems like he's built a business model around being just a tad angry at all times which is not my preference.

My husband and I stopped at this super unique coffee shop, and I asked for a sweet but strongly caffeinated drink and to just surprise me. I was made an iced vanilla pistachio latte, and let me tell you, it was the best coffee I've ever had! My husband got an iced mocha latte, and it was equally delicious! I wish we lived close because this would be a daily stop.

I ordered an avocado smoothie. It was the best thing I've had in my mouth in a very long time. Maybe even ever.

Went there and got 2 drinks, one coffee and one smoothie. 13.90 was a little bit ridiculous for both of those, and not having prices and saying it’s due to not wanting to adhere to corporate standards doesn’t make much sense to me. Not to mention the coffee was eh, though the smoothie was decent. I think prices or at least a base price would help because not everyone has the money to get coffee like that all the time.

I was really looking forward to trying this coffee shop based on other reviews. I thought there was a spot inside to eat but there are no tables inside. You must order from the window outside even if you are inside and no one is waiting outside. Staff was rude and not helpful. Coffee ok.

Tiny coffee shop with loads of character. Had a espresso seltzer with cream soda (I forget the name of the drink). Very unique blend. Tasty!

In what I think were the mid 90s, I was with my mother in this shop while she was out doing errands around town. I must have been no older than 10. After she ordered her coffee, the owner asked me if I'd like anything. Not being experienced with coffee shops I asked him if he had Coke for sale. He said to me "I don't have Coke, but tell ya what, I'll make you something like it but even better. Chocolate or vanilla?" I have been ordering Italian creme sodas ever since. I don't get back there as often as I like these days but when I do, this drink takes me back to my childhood. Other places sell them but they either aren't as good or are way too expensive. It's a wonderful shop full of decades of memories. One time, I didn't have cash on me and he allowed me to come back later with the payment. Thanks for all that you do!

Absolutely no prices posted for anything. So, if you're not a 'regular', you have to ask before you order. Ten dollars for two straight cappuccinos later (I did not ask the price in advance, but is that really my responsibility?) , I strongly feel the right thing to do is to post prices. This is actually the first time in my experience in five or six countries, where prices for food in a take out environment are not clearly posted, or available in a hand-out menu or price list. I asked the son of the owner there why no prices are displayed, and he just replied 'they aren't '. I'm a fair person, and if the owner has a better explanation, I'd love to hear it. The coffee is very good, but some information on prices would be appreciated.

Too good for our money and no respect for our time. Let us wait in line for 15 minutes and when we get to the front of the line they informed us that they had been trying to close for 15 minutes. (Next time tell people before they wait in line). We'll get our coffee elsewhere.

I loved The Lost Dog! I had the best Latte Breve that I've had in probably fifteen years. If you want to know something about coffee or teas, these people probably can help you. I wish they had the kind of space that can harbor the coffee house circus life a little better, both inside and out. It's a little limited space-wise. Ryder was our host & barista. That's a terrific guy! Told me an enchanting story about the loose tea I purchased, it's legend and history. If you're in the area, if you love coffee or tea, hit this joint.
