Hands down best espresso in Clallam county. The roasts are amazing, the staff are kind and skilled, and the shop is always clean and bright. They even have a tasty decaf roast, which many roasters overlook, assuming that decaf drinkers don't care about (or don't deserve) a good roast.

It was really good, was a little spendy but most coffee shops are now.

Love this place because of the owner, a very kind man. Used to only get our coffee from here, but wish they would get a toaster oven (I'll get it for you, even!) to warm up pastries. If they could provide warmed pastries that would bring me back as a regular. Also can expect less than smiley employees, but they aren't rude just not friendly. That is still better than most customer service these days, so I'll deal!

This might be the best coffee anywhere in the state, even in the city of Seattle. The owner is an award-winning roaster, who studied the bean in Brazil! Their shop is impeccably clean, and the owners and baristas could not be nicer. Sequim is lucky to have this place. ☕️

If you enjoy a perfectly created espresso made with fresh roasted coffee and a warm smile. Then this is your place. The whole experience here is transcendent. My wife and I are both hooked on the the quality of the espresso. Even the milk comes from a local Washington dairy. A+

This coffee shop does a great job roasting beans that we've ordered on subscription! I'm always happy every month they come. I'm guessing the "in shop" experience would be even better

I love the espresso here. Best on the peninsula. It's traditional great espresso. It's not loaded with cream and sugar so some may not have experienced the real thing if there used to the corporate style. The only thing that would be great is more food choices. They have a small selection which are good but sell out fast.

A wonderful addition to our local coffee choices--this is the artisan cup of coffee, not the mass-produced one. I personally love the standardized coffee menu--simple and guaranteed to be crafted right. All I had to do was say, "cappuccino." Plus, they roast coffee beans right there in view.

The only espresso I will buy! My wife and I have been regulars here for months and we love everything from the house roasted coffee, the healthy farm fresh milk, the handmade flavors, the customer service and the wonderful owners. This is the place to go for health concious choices. All the food and espresso ingredients are locally sourced, house made, or at least top quality. Great product, great service, great owners. Worth supporting this business and keeping them around!

The best coffee on the Peninsula. Hands down! Quality espresso, quality milks, and quality service. The drinks are perfect every time. No worrying about burnt espresso, watery milk, overly sweet etc. Just perfection every time. They make all of their own syrups and sauces so you can trust the source which I greatly appreciate. And to top it all off the owners and staff are people who honor their work like artists. You won't be disappointed!

Not my normal coffee spot. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but given the amount of different drinks and options for those drinks. It's just not somewhere for me. But perhaps for someone that doesn't drink much coffee?

Incredible nu-wave coffee. They roast their own beans, and are incredibly passionate about their coffee. It’s more Art for them than business and it shows in the coffee. I drink their roasts at home every day, and as a retired professional barista, trained by an elite Barista who has trained multiple barista champions, I can tell you, this stuff is great.

I liked the ambiance and available seating, my coffee was good, not my favorite. The rest of my party was frustrated at the lack of available options. There were only almond and oat alternative choices for milk, which is not many comparatively speaking to every other coffee shop. The only available flavors were the specials and vanilla, which is fine if what you like is coffee, but for a lot of people what they like is their “drink.” I didn’t dislike my drink, I had the mint vanilla espresso special, but the others in my party did because it was vanilla flavored macchiato when they wanted caramel macchiatos and Essence does not carry those ingredients. I would go back and try something else, if you’ve never been here be aware it’s more like a big city coffee cafe than the other coffee shops in town.
