Ordered coffee… simple. (BOTH SERVED LUKEWARM. )I did not hear my name called tho the one and only lady working in this slo little place says she called it several times. She had stood at the counter looking at me not once mentioned my coffee was ready. About 25 min later I went to ask my coffee sat the lukewarm. Ordered another cup and she disappeared around a corner where the register was( I didn’t know this) and stood there at least 10 min never trying to find me to collect my money. I went back to my chair thinking she’d collect the money after she made the coffee. She never made coffee 20 min later I reorder my coffee and tell her she could of let me know where the register was… she said nothing. She waited on one couple before me then took 25min to make a mocha that was very tart. RUDE RUDE LADY WORKING TODAY short hair glasses lots of necklaces. YOU WILL BE JUDGED AND TREATED ACCORDING. I’m visiting, this was my first interaction with anyone.
Cozy little spot! Hot chocolate with Irish cream was left wanting. Free water cup station. Clean bathrooms and helpful employees. Nice experience but that drink won't be had again
I really appreciate people who treat my daughter well. They were so kind. They didn't judge me when I said she wanted whip cream on her oat milk hot cocoa.... and then.... and THEN they put colorful sprinkles on it and wiped the rim of the cup for presentation. It may not seem like a big deal, but my daughter lit up. She loved that hot cocoa. They had beyond (vegan) breakfast burritos and vegan breakfast sandwiches. They warm them up for you. Tap to pay.
I have been coming to downtown Olympia for Dancing Goats coffee since I was a child in the 90’s. Their new location is on the corner of Legion and Capital Way. This new location is bright with great window facing the park. Bathrooms are also very accessible. Em, Lauren and Trinity are some of my favorite employees who meet every customer with kindness and big smiles. It is hard to have any successful small business today and I am grateful Dancing Goats has worked so hard to keep a presence in downtown Olympia:)
Great coffee. Weird new spot, not cozy like the old location.
All dancing goats are not the same. The flagship one is awesome. Italian sodas actually have flavor. I took my wife and daughter to the one at 516 capital Way South, at least that is what the receipt says. No flavor had to throw the sodas away so go to the flagship 550. The one on 516 was a waste of money.
Pretty good place to study or have a small group meeting. The coffee is above average.
Loved the staff and the local regulars. Great pastries. Had a Blueberry and Apple Danish with a 20 oz, Mocha Caramel, on the sweet side with whip cream. Relaxing atmosphere and easing going regulars. Rogue (Blondie), and M, took care of me in a jiffy. Took only 6 minutes. Major brownie points, since there had been about 9 people inside and 3 waiting for drinks, but not for long. Popping drinks out one after the other. Fast and done right with a huge smile, all the time. This is why I am always returning. Until next time......
Found out they aren’t really a local company they were bought out at least 6 months back and honestly now that I know I can tell I heard from someone that use to work there that higher ups wanted to keep that a secret cuz they were worried it would hurt their profits
Delicious drip coffee, ready to serve rather than the popular pour over coffees which take extra time and are generally weak and tasteless. Friendly customer service. $7 and change for a 8 oz latte and 8 oz drip coffee seems a little steep, but that's WA coffee I guess.
Love this place, have been getting my coffee here for years and I think it's amazing, thus the five stars. My ONLY issue is with the To-Go coffee cups/lids you guys use. They are AWFUL. It never fails to spill over my hand, lap or cup holder in my car because it won't seal correctly. 🙃
If you want delicious coffee this is the place to go! Love their concept, name, color scheme, and merchandise. Bought a few mugs as well. Have come multiple times, and of course couldn't go home without a few bags of their beans!
My favorite coffee shop EVER. My go-to drink is the Chilly Goat Mocha and it is fabulous. Their variety of sandwiches and pastries are creative and delicious. Their new location is adorable 😍
kind of pricey but well worth it! i love how nutty the coffee’s flavor is, and also the variety of choices. definitely better than starbucks. also wonderful service!
The folks at Dancing Goats were the first people to learn my name when I moved to Olympia, and I've gone back nearly daily ever since. While the new location is much smaller, there are more opportunities for individual seating, and the light and view out into the park are very nice. Great coffee, great treats, great people!
Absolutely perfect oatmilk latte. Their breakfast sammies are delicious too. Staff is super friendly and this spot has a great atmosphere. Will be back if we stop back in Olympia!
The new location is depressing and uncomfortable. Service was friendly and coffee was still good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to ever go back here in it's new spot.
Glad to see this location is a coffee shop again! The shop is nice and wasn’t too busy. The prices were very reasonable. However, they didn’t have any decaf iced tea which was a bummer (would have taken 5-7 minutes to make decaf iced tea from the decaf tea bags they had). Got a decaf iced coffee with heavy whipping cream instead and wasn’t very impressed. The coffee was sour of bitter/sour. My son had an iced chai tea latte that was pretty good… not too sweet and lots of flavor. Had almond milk options!
I got some lavender latte. It was super delicious and well-balanced. Staff was friendly. Vibe was on point.
I was raised in Oly. I remember when DG was on 4th. I'm an actual local, but have been away for years living overseas and travelling. I rocked into Oly early in the morning with all my travel luggage and went to B&B for a cup. Moved to Capital & Legion. No probs. I was early. Sat out front waiting. Kid arrives, masked. I say "good morning". He says, "you're going to need to move all your stuff away before I open". I think he assumed I was a transient, homeless person. I said "bad assumptions, dude". He didn't apologize, just tried to explain himself away. Well, I'm going to my buddy Mike's joint for a cup. Bye bye goats. Oly has plenty of better options now. Besides, your interior looks like a hospital.
