Good coffee, great baked goods - the Tomato Scallion Scone was stellar!

First time at The Owls Nest and I was not disappointed. I got the buttermilk biscuit and jam as well as a strawberry shortcake scone (around $11 total with tip). Both were very tasty. If I could afford it I’d eat there every day! They had a lunch menu on their door that I was unaware of or I would have ordered lunch from there. No worries, another day! (I only looked at the menus online and on reviews to see what they had before deciding to go.) The staff was welcoming and washed their hands before helping me. Space inside for customers is cozy & small. Mugs, granola and other treasures for sale too:) all plantbased!!!

If you can only choose one pastry make it the maple scone! But honestly there's no wrong choice. I've been here at least once a week since opening and will continue. Delicious pastries, that happen to be vegan and yummy drinks. Update: lunch is served and it's delicious. The Oly salad is satisfying and everything I want in a lunch. The sandwiches are delicious and I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the new items. You can't go wrong at the Owl's Nest!

Absolutely my favorite place to visit - I will always get my coffee or tea from The Owl's Nest if I am in the area - and now they are serving lunch! Had one of the sandwiches today and it was fabulous! All pastries and lunch items are plant based and I have never had anything I didn't love - same for friends and family. The owner and her team are also a joy to be around!

I love coming here on the weekend with my husband. Everything on the menu is vegan and they have rotational breakfast goodies! All of their pastries are good and I always pick 3 or 4 out to snack on while running errands with my husband. We also love trying their seasonal drinks, and we love the care that goes into making them (our reusable mug gets preheated on a cold day before the drink goes in).

Best carrot muffin I've ever had. So moist and flavorful without being overly sweet. Good friendly staff running the place too, stop by

A great selection of fresh baked sweets and savories. The chocolate chip tahini cookie was especially delicious. The staff is friendly and eager to share what is hot out of the oven, and the cafe itself has a nice local ambience.

Excellent shop, easily the best place to start a conference trip each morning. Customer service, quality, deliciousness of items, gluten-free options, and every beverage is excellent. Shelby, Cam, and Dianne are some of the best conversation and positivity for a morning. Small, locally owned, the best!

Amazing! I've tried several treats at this place, only out a dedication to community. All wonderful. They are hearty (not airy or crumbly), with fantastic flavors, and perfectly sweet. They make savory treats also, i'm working my up to such grown up things. How lucky is olympia to have the owl's nest and left bank? Is Olympia on its way to being a pastry haven of washington????

Excellent quality coffee from a small roaster in the Portland area. The menu is simple with a nice variety of coffee drinks. Some obvious, others not so much like a cortado. The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable, and make coffee you'll want to go back for. The cafe is small and welcoming, which is nice. Others like the larger spaces where you can gather in groups. Excellent selection of sweet and savory pastries and baked goods they prepare onsite in their kitchen. It's a great place for coffee in downtown Olympia. The outside seating is limited, but perfect for people watching.

I was given this place as a suggestion for Vegan pastries, from a barista at another local coffee shop. The staff was immediately welcoming, friendly, and clearly passionate about the offerings here, and the owner even mentioned that they will be adding more foods in the future, such as sandwiches. I had the Vegan/GF Pumpkin Muffin, which was delectable, and the Tomato Scallion Scone, also delicious! Update (3/28/23) I have since had their brewed coffee with Hemp milk, and I can confirm that it too is delicious! I have also tried more of the pastries since my initial review. All pastries are both Vegan and Gluten free, which I confirmed during my visit on 3/27 with one of the owners. (Shelby) Cheers!

Such a cute little coffee shop! They had iced pumpkin muffins in March which was a very sweet surprise for my autumn soul. My boyfriend ordered a raspberry jam biscuit and a latte (both of which he thoroughly enjoyed) and I ordered an iced chai to go with my pumpkin muffin. Lovely food, drink, atmosphere, and staff. Seating was limited but we were able to snag a spot quickly. Browsers Bookstore is right across the street and the farmers market is only an 8-ish minute walk away! We will definitely be going back to try their seasonal drinks and other baked goodies:)
