Nice coffee shop - spacious, friendly service. They also have a selection of salads - we had the Chipotle and Spinach, both yummy. The cold brew was great. Recommended!

Social grounds has good coffee! And usually a pretty good assortment of treats to choose from, but as the other reviewers mentioned the staff makes it almost unbearable to order from. I got a muffin today that tasted stale and so I asked if I could just swap it out for a different one and she almost acted like I was lying. Then threw that muffin away very angrily and gave me a new one without even saying sorry or looking me in the eye. I asked if I did something wrong or was being some sorta way and she just mumbled no. They are super rude. But like I said coffee is great!

I ordered a 12 ounce decaf latte, I got a caffeinated 8 ounce. I was ok with the size mistake, but if I knew it was caffeinated I would have complained. I only knew afterwards when I had jitters and nausea for the next few hours... mind you the place was not busy and I repeated my order twice. Needless to say I ain't going back...oh and their safety rating is only okay 😐 better go somewhere cleaner.

Understaffed with one employee recently! Also the new staff seems to have poor customer service skills

Social Grounds is one of the more appealing coffee shops in the area, boasting a beautiful menu and socially-/environmentally-conscious values. Shameless plug: There is a $.25 incentive here for bringing in your own mug! If we all chose to reuse, imagine the disposable waste we'd save -- and the impacts that would have. Another bonus is that Social Grounds' coffee is plain delicious. I tend to rate places based on their dirty chais, and theirs ranks among the best.

I love this cafe. The coffee is great and it's small and cute like a coffee shop should be. I loved the atmosphere; it's like a Seattle neighborhood coffee shop in Bothell. I even saw another customer who was sitting at two pushed-together tables on his laptop by himself, separate the tables in order to make room for a group of four to sit when they came in. I don't even know if they noticed he did that; it was just a small kindness that I witnessed that made my heart happy. That's the kind of place I want to hang out.

It's a nice place overall. One barista is nice the rest is not that good. We had something that doesn't belong in the salad but got a refund. Coffee was good and I mean it. I may give it another chance...

I’ve given this place 10+ chances before writing this review. First thing- the coffee is good. They also have great kombucha on tap. However, the staff ruins the place for me. Not only do they not acknowledge you when you walk in or when you are standing at the counter, but they also act like you are bothering them for even entering their establishment - and then expect you to tip them!!! It’s very odd and I can’t quite wrap my head around their attitudes. Since I’ve tried this place many times and on different days and different hours, I can confirm it’s not just that the staff is having a bad day. There are plenty of great coffee places in the area that have wonderful and friendly staff.

Pretty much prefect. Everything you’d expect with a smile. Atmosphere was quiet and personal with tables and chairs somewhat full yet the feeling of your own personal coffee spot.. great recommendations of vegan treats and food. Perfect latte and an amazing Americano. It’s everything you’d wish for & want it to be…. and actually is!!!

Great little shop, conveniently located. The staff was fast and courteous, food was very good. I had chocolate orange bread and cappuccino - both excellent. If you're looking for a good coffee spot in Bothell - this will do the trick. Definitely recommend it.

Gave this place a shot on a wet Monday morning before heading to St. Edwards Park for a Sunday Stroll with my significant other. We ordered two drinks, and two pastries - one to be warmed up and the other cold. We got our drinks and waited about 10 minutes - after we were about halfway done with our drinks I checked and was surprised to see the food was not ready. No big deal - I mentioned it to the lady working the register (not the same person who took my order) and she got right to it without any questions OR any accountability. Long story short - we ended up taking the pastries to go, by the time they were ready we were through with our drinks. I regularly hit Ladro every weekend before bike rides with my friends, but thought I'd try SG because I've heard good things. Not impressed.

Social grounds is a warm, inviting cafe with friendly staff, delicious mochas and good wifi. They had some brilliant seasonal drinks including a french toast latte (cinnamon) and s'more latte (mocha with marshmallow whip). The6 was decent seating. The street parking looked like it could be challenging but there were more options over by the ranch market if you don't mind crossing the street.

Randomly stopped in and was pleasantly surprised by the great coffee, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast sandwich was tasty, but slightly cold in the middle and piping hot on the outside.

This place was once ran by two wonderful sisters that cared for their employees. Since bought by the new owner Julia, it‘s a totally different story. She mistreats all of her employees by withholding money that they rightfully earned and doesn’t pay sick time when requested. This has happened on multiple occasions. If you want to support the wonderful baristas working here, tip them well. They have to put up with a horrible owner that doesn’t value her employees.

Very good local cafe. A really nice and relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is amazing and tastes very well. The place has indoor and outdoor seatings, and usually isn't busy. Kind staff.

Could use more comfy seating and more food options, but otherwise pretty awesome. Only open until 5. Really good kombucha and tea choices.

This is where my Husband and I go on our Day dates. We love their Signature mochas‼️🎖😍 Their salads are fresh and incredibly scrumptious. 🥇The place is chic and cozy. 🔹 AND their Team is topnotch, very friendly — and because we’re here every week, they know us by name.
