Small coffee shop that is hard to move around in because the furniture inside is rather bulky, even though it was not busy. Standard coffee-based drink options along with a handful of baked goods and some more substantial meal options. They charge an arm and a leg for non-dairy milk options (nearly $2 for oat milk!). We ordered a flavored latte with oat milk and received a latte with whole milk in it. This is frustrating because the whole point of paying nearly $2 extra to avoid dairy was due to lactose intolerance. We ended up having to throw the drink away instead of getting sick consuming it.
Was here on Sunday. Was great. Came back Monday and owner-seeming fellow was there. He’s awful and rude. After a great experience yesterday, would never return. What an awful guy. Nice employees and ok coffee though!
Lovely place and friendly staff. Great little place to stop for coffee and light food
Great place to catch up on what the happenings are in Rappahannock County. Best cup of coffee ever. They also have good pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Would recommend u stop by for a great cup of coffee, who knows u might just want one of their homemade pastries as well.
This is a beautiful cafe! The ambiance is wonderful and feels cozy. Love the gorgeous chandelier. I hike often and stop for a latte at a new place every time. I stopped in and had a vanilla oatmilk latte last weekend and I was *shocked* at the price - it was almost $8! Additionally, the latte was fair but very heavy on the oatmilk so it lost its flavor. Overall, I would not come back for just a coffee. However, photos of the food look delicious!
Breakfast and pastries were amazing! Great atmosphere and friendly staff, too.
Beautiful stop, where you can grab breakfast or luch and sit at a small river. The best croissants I have had while staying in the US
It’s your lucky day if their corn chowder soup is available
Yummy. Ginger scone was fabulous!
A group (4) of us ladies stopped in for lunch. We all had the turkey sandwich with fig chutney, which I highly recommend. It was delicious! We also ordered the special house blend of chai tea; also delicious. The owner is especially friendly and the ambiance is a combination of quaint, cute and quirky. If I/we every pass this way again, this place will definitely be where we stop for a bite to eat!
Appreciate so much Kerry for all his hard work with this perfect spot in Sperryville. It was nice to have him do a cappuccino for me one day. Check out that attention to detail. You eat and drink with your eyes first.
A great serendipitous find on a drive thru Sperryville. We noticed the sign for the shop and doubled back. Parking was a bit odd but plentiful. The shop is small and crowded. A large blackboard displays the fare. We both got a ginger scone that wS delicious. Light and airy with chunks of ginger. We got a maple latte and a Black Bear latte. Both were hot and creamy fresh with wonderful natural tastes. A lot of the shop space is dedicated to tourist t-shirts and stuff. But please take the time to use the most outstanding restroom I have seen in a while. Toasty warm, crisply clean and beautifully appointed. The building is historical so take the time to read about it. A great little coffee shop.
We came here during the fall foliage season, and the coffee shop was fully packed. The pastries were nice, and the lemon bar was also pretty good. We enjoyed eating the desserts nearby the river in their backyards (there were also some chairs there). Overall, it’s a nice bakery / coffee shop in this small town. (Follow me on IG ➡️ miss_dawang)
Great place. We have been going for years
Nice place, good pastries and drinks!
Love that I can have scone and coffee and quietly go to a comfortable place to sit and enjoy. The last time I chose a couch and contemplated which flavor of Gelato I would take with me. This place is a nice reprieve.
After explaining my negative experience to the owner of the cafe (he reached out a few days later), he alluded that what I experienced was not racism but a cultural difference and that I was trying to “slay the wrong dragon” because they support BLM… Me not being able to get my food because someone refuses to say my name and it sit there while other members of my party get their food felt xenophobic. To me, it’s more than a mere “cultural difference.” And even if it was, I do not believe it is acceptable to provide subpar service to people because their name is hard to pronounce. It took three other people trying to get my food for us to receive it. Them being busy does not seem like a justification for it because they called the names out of other people in my party. Plus, people in my party who ordered after me received their food first.
Amazing place! I had the Maple latte, and breakfast sandwich. Definitely coming back the next time I go hiking in the area!
Barista made excellent Vanila latte, will definitely be back.
I rarely rarely leave reviews but their curry chicken sandwich salad is AMAZING!!(I might mistake the name but there is only one starts with curry in the lunch menu). We grabbed some coffee on our way to Shenandoah park and found it was really good(very silky and smooth) so we decided to have lunch on our way home. My BF ordered the curry chicken sandwich salad and after his first bite he told me it is so delicious and I must have a try. The apple, onion, raisin and celery blended so well with the juicy curry chicken. We even decided to order one more and have it for our dinner. Btw, it tastes great in both hot and code. This place is truly a highlight in our trip! I wish it could be closer to where I lived. Because the sandwich tastes so good so we all forget to take a photo. Only have photos with their Halloween deco and a peaceful river in their backyard.
