Amazing cafe! Best quality of coffee (speciality coffee) in Roanoke. Also, loved the vibes and the baked goods they have! They have a beautiful garden and outside seating to enjoy when there’s good weather
This place felt weird at first because it's literally a house lol but once we walked around it's actually a wicked cool spot. The coffee was amazing and the staff were very friendly.
Wonderful neighborhood coffee shop. Lots of seating inside and outside, great coffee and tea and a good selection of baked goods. Very clean and everyone was friendly.

Sweet Donkey!! Saw great reviews the night before and decided this would be the spot before our morning drive [today]. Really glad we made that choice! They seem to make a lot of their syrups in-house, as well as their baked goods. We tried the lavender latte and the peanut butter cup latte; holy s**t they were both so delicious. Nice, strong lavender flavor was more than we expected but undeniably good if you love that floral flavor! The peanut butter cup was just that — a freaking peanut butter cup with caffeine; if I were local I’d find it hard to not get that every single morning. I also got a cortado, as it’s my preferred method of caffeination, and was pleased with a sweet milky heart greeting me to my morning espresso. It went down a lot less bitter than most cortados I’m used to, which I won’t complain about but love it bitter. I opted for the lemon blueberry muffin, finding it generally a great idea to go with baked goods made in-house (Sweet Donkey Bakery) from coffee shops. Sure enough I wasn’t disappointed after tearing at it like a vulture, but that was almost guaranteed to happen. Everything was fairly priced, except for the socks that were an extra souvenir splurge — the staff helping me at the cash register sort of warned me about the price so it was absolutely my choice and nothing that should cause bad remarks (and they’re cute socks). Highly recommend!
The only times I've been here, it's been very crowded. I guess that speaks for their menu items and service. Parking seems hard to find. The inside seems a little small/claustrophobic to me, BUT if the weather is nice, then there is outdoor seating available which is nice.
I love this place. The coffee was excellent and the atmosphere was vibrant. Perfect place to relax with friends, get some work done, or just chill.
A very cool coffee spot with some yummy coffee. I got their PBC latte Iced and it might be my new favorite local coffee. I really appreciate that when they give you an iced drink it’s mostly liquid and not fluffed down with ice. The pricing was on point too. They were hopping on a Sunday morning and that was really nice to see the support for a local biz.

The coffee.. WOW such an amazing environment. They have rich coffee with mind blowing flavors. I’m so genuinely impressed with what they did here. They couldn’t have done better. Well done.
I've had their lattes 3 times, and I feel like each was better than the last. This winter I had their "flannel" and loved it, but I just tried the oat milk version of "Mr Brightside"-- it's mocha with an orange-oil flavor-- and I'm amazed.

Wonderful coffee and small breakfast foods. The business is a small converted historic home in a neighborhood close to Carillion health. Dog friendly patio. Comfy chairs. Small parking area. Recommend parking on the street and enjoying a quick walk.
Came to Roanoke to do the McCafee Knob AT hike yesterday and was looking for a local coffee place this morning. So happy that I found this spot! It is near downtown, but there's plenty of street parking and a nice view of Mill Mountain. The coffee is delicious, they have really interesting syrup options (I did the maple chipotle syrup in my latte), the staff are really friendly, and the interior is charming. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and as an added bonus Queen's Vegan food truck was there today, so I had a great coffee, laptop writing time, then lunch! ☕😋
Looking around for places to go and see and happened upon this location. I had to go just because of the name. The place has 2 floors and fireplaces. We went in for tea because my friend felt a little under the weather. I took my own lemon in and they cut it for me and put honey in the tea. I had a latte, which was delightful. It is a coffee shop I would enjoy working from while enjoying the quaint decor. They staff were fabulous. Very happy I made the time to check it out.
Yummy waffles with fruit and sweet chai tea. Great place for breakfast or any get together.
