The owner April is a fabulous host! Atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. A must go to if you are in Norfolk!!
Great spot. Great atomsphere. Lattes and mimosa were great. Love the Art on the wall from local students.
Went for comedy night which was great. Cool vibe inside. Check it out.
This place is exactly what I didn't know I wanted in my life! This is a hidden treasure in Portsmouth. Don't tell to many people because I want to keep it to myself. They have one of my favorite beers on tap (1865 Brew co), candle making, great wine, BEER, music, oh did I mention books! The atmosphere is outstanding. I'll post more pictures on my next visit but I was blown away.
This Place is Amazing and You all got to Go Check Them Out On a Tuesday Night 5 to 9 pm
First time there last weekend I love it different and great at the same time
If you know, you know...
My favorite bookstore/coffee/wine/candle shop. Stop by to grab a drink and stay for a candlemaking class or weekly karaoke. Never a shortage of fun!
THIS IS A PERFECT DATE NIGHT SETTING ( MAKE CANDLES TOGETHER, SIP SOME TEA OR WINE) PERFECT GETAWAY TO FIND A GOOD BOOK AND CHILL without the public library smell
Always a great time! Good vibes, good food, and amazing vibes!!!
I love this book store. The wine, coffee, and seating are amazing.
Beautiful place
Wow!!! What a beautiful space hosting some great events in downtown Portsmouth. Highly recommend folks check out what's happening here!
My friend and I were here for an candle making event found on Eventbrite. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in because the establishment is huge! There is plenty of space to social distance. The book selection is large. The bar has wine, coffee and good looking pastries. It was great meeting some of the owners of the business, they were super friendly. I heard they have a list of events from live music, comedy shows, Chef-led experiences, and more. Do yourself a favor and go visit.
The book club is one of my favorite places to go during the week for a cup of coffee and a quiet place to get some work done. All of the staff are so nice & informative. The bartenders are always a joy to see, there’s a great book selection & Thursday night karaoke is sooo much fun.
Great ambiance
This coffee/ wine bar is such a beautiful addition to Olde Town. Looooove the vibes, very sophisticated. Love seeing my black owned businesses doing so good! Being that they are still new they have been training staff and making changes here and there to best accommodate their customers. Juneteenth was one of the busiest weekends and I still felt like the owners were very expensive and accommodating even under pressure.
Excellent location for small events!
Was there at an event last night to see a favorite band play. Nice space .. I think the owner came out and spoke to everyone. Very nice guy!! Drinks are a bit pricey… $10.50 for a glass of wine… and the poor bar tender got embarrassed in front of me…. By some woman with locks in her hair whom was also behind the bar I guess supervising she doesn’t speak or look at you when you talk to her… but anyways she yelled at him for pouring too much wine in the glass…. Her exact word were “that’s too much!”.. I looked over at her and she had that look on her face like she might be insecure of beautiful women..(like myself) I’m unsure if she was mad at me… personally… or the bartender for real… (like tell me why you mad) … I was looking for more of an uplifting vibe from ALL staff being that we are ALL black and celebrating Juneteenth 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Besides the “uninvited” feeling I got from the bar… deterred me from wanting to purchase another drink…. She might have wanted the “extra” wine back or something…I might come back..🙄
Saturday nights is comedy night. They have local stand up comedians come and make you laugh. For 20 per person it is a great date night activity. Real chill atmosphere Wednesday they have couples candle making.
