Met one of the owners, Charles, super quality guy. Very friendly and knows his coffee roasting. He shared some of his business with me and we had a wonderful conversation. Love their coffee and they are very integrated into the community with their business. Merge has great coffee!!
Damn fine coffee!
My husband enjoyed a black eye and I had a oat milk latte… both were excellent, and the barista was very nice!
Small but very nice little coffee shop. Friendly employees and great drinks.
Make it your place to get espresso!

Every morning I drive by this coffee shop and I am like, “hmm wonder if it’s good” well let me tell you guys, it is phenomenal. This man made my coffee with love. The first sip touched my soul. Exactly what I wanted. On top of that I ordered a coffee cake I may have not needed but I really wanted. DEEEEEEEEELICIOUS *chef kiss* I will be returning for your amazing coffee and goodies, thank you for a great morning
The atmosphere of this quaint coffee shop is so inviting and cozy and the coffee is consistently and reliably delicious. Every time I go in, the owner is so kind and I leave with a smile on my face. They will have my business every time I come to my office in Harrisonburg.
Had a great experience. One of the owners poured my coffee. Also asked if it was okay that a scone I ordered was blueberry-lemon, since I had called it a blueberry scone. It totally was okay, but I generally don’t do lemon flavored things, so I was grateful. Guy also really loved talking about their roasting process and equipment. I wish I’d had more time to stay and chat. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. And the coffee was genuinely delicious. No burned flavor, great latte art. Highly recommend this spot.
Exceptional coffee. Perfectly roasted. We had the cafe au lait and caramel macchiato. We were passing thru Harrisonburg after boondocking at Skidmore Reservoir. Great start to a day of travel. Good place to catch some wifi for travelers. The barista was inviting and friendly.
Great atmosphere and even better coffee. By far the best coffee in Harrisonburg and the greater Shenandoah valley; I've tried many places over the years and Merge stands out. Their roasting technique amplifies the tasting notes from the beans and makes you savor each sip.
so so yummy!! Daryl (i’m sorry i don’t want to assume how to spell your name) was a wonderful barista and was very personable! atmosphere was cozy, intentional and headed towards modern. the staff was very knowledgeable about their craft and gave amazing recommendations for where we live!
Amazing coffee, friendly atmosphere, and they even host their own coffee workshops that are informative and perfect for the coffee enthusiasts!
Great experience. It was very clear we were being served coffee by someone who was passionate about coffee and knew what he was talking about. When my husband picked out a bag, the owner made sure to as ask about his taste preferences, and when he asked for a portion ground, he inquired about the brewing method and about how many grams we wanted. We were very impressed with the passion, expertise, service and quality of the coffee! We'll be back next time we're in Harrisonburg.
Great place! This is what you dream of for local roasting. Fresh and tasty. Also the baked goods taste like homemade goodness.
WOW!!! If you have not checked this Merge Coffee Company, do yourself a favor and bless your soul taste buds 🤣. It's a small but very nice spot, I had a delicious bacon, egg and cheese bagel and a 20oz White Chocolate Latte. That had me dancing for joy.
I have been frequenting this place since I moved here a year ago. IMO best coffee & espresso in town. The owner (who is always there) is very passionate about the profession and coffee. Unique building in town and great atmosphere.
One of the exceptionally rare cafes that the baristas know what they’re doing. They can even make you a good espresso, which has sadly become rare in cafes.
Outstanding cappuccino!
Great spot downtown to grab a good cup of coffee
