Good variety of coffees
A few weeks ago at 5:50 p.m., I walked up to the counter at Kaffe Klatch and received an unhappy look from the two females leaning against the back counter. One pushed away and asked if she could help me and I told her that I would like two bubbleteas. I was told that they were out of bubbles, so I told them I would take the bubble tea without bubbles. A look passed between them and they started making the drinks. I was told the amount , paid, and thanked them, with no acknowledgement on their part. This evening, I phoned at 5:50 p.m. to request two bubbleteas and was told that they were out of bubbles . . . . again. Suspecting that this is code for "it's too close to 6:00 for me to put forth any more energy," I switched tactics and told them that I would like to order a latte. I was asked when I would be in, I told them a few minutes before 6:00. Although it was 5:53 at this point, I am then informed that the machine is shut down for cleaning at 5:55. I could have noted that it was not even that time yet, but why waste my breath on two lazy non-workers. You can inform them that there will be one less customer that they need to lie to. In addition, if they are not lying, then this business has an issue with keeping bubbles in stock and needs to change the hours open to reflect the real closing time of 5:55. The thing with Harrisonburg is that there are choices, most with better customer service and less attitude . . . my money will be better spent elsewhere. Unfortunately, this was not the case in the past. Unsure if the issue is little choice in workforce or poor management skills.
