Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered a Cortado with heavy whipping cream and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a rich, strong brew.
This is the best coffee shop in Crozet. My only regret is spending so much money on lack luster coffee and attitude just down the road. And that they aren’t open on Sundays!!

I was looking for a bakery for breakfast and came across The Yellow Mug on Google. It looked like it had everything I was looking for. With so few bakeries available in the area I was very pleased to come across this bakery location. The bakery treats were everything I was looking for. I got the apricot Danish and the banana chocolate chip bread and they were delicious. I also got a matcha which was absolutely fantastic. I have had difficulty finding GOOD matcha and they definitely met that goal. The location was also super cute and convenient, about 5 min off of 64 and easy to get to with a huge parking lot. I noticed they even had a handicap parking spot which was surprising for a little shop. The staff were also super friendly and nice and helped me with suggestions as a first time guest. I cannot recommend this place enough, I will definitely be back. It is definitely worth the drive out of Charlottesville if you don't typically go to Crozet or even just as a pit stop on your way by Crozet on 64.
Cute little coffee shop with great coffee and awesome staff! My sis and I got an iced latte with brown sugar. It was very good! This will definitely be a stop of ours when we go to Crozet!!
The Yellow Mug, formally the Green House, under new ownership is a great local coffee shop. Great coffee, friendly staff and good local pastries.

Full scoop! This place is so pleasant. The parking is in the back with plenty of room just be aware of the deep dip coming in and out (drive slow). There is plenty of seating inside and out, child friendly, AMAZING STAFF! The hot coffee is flavorful and frothy on top but the iced coffee is where it’s at. Plenty of flavored syrups and so many pastries! The chocolate ganache tart is delicious. It’s sweet and rich but not overpowering, the apple cranberry tart is also top notch, my coworkers and I absolutely loved this! Everything I have had there is great. The chocolate chip banana cake is so good, just remember it’s a cake so it does not have the same texture as nana bread, the chocolate chip cookies are delicious! They come with some salt on top, if you don’t care for it, it is easily dusted off. Don’t miss this place. It feels so cozy, I wish it was open later but I also appreciate their work/life balance for their staff. Also this place is true to their name, if you order a hot coffee and stay, it will be served in a yellow mug, and all the mugs are different! It’s a great place!
It is a nice place to have in Crozet. The coffee is good, the food is tasty, and the staff is welcoming and friendly.
