Veteran owned. Pro America - America First. Local. How can you NOT support them!? My first time here and the owner came out and helped me pick out some coffee for my husbands birthday. I also wanted to get a tshirt and the owner pointed out that the one tshirt tag said MADE IN AMERICA (and I’d moving away from made in china products) which I LOVE. It’s been really hard to find businesses that share the same values as me, but when I find them, I will support them 100%! And my blueberry cold brew was delicious as well!

Pale horse is dynamite!! Love their coffee. Love their country first motto. Awesome vibe inside and they have pup treats out so my kids can give our dog a treat when we bring him!

I drink a lot of coffee. I have tried a lot of different brands. Just bought a few different types from Pale Horse. Blonde Bomber is one of the best light roasts I have had. The others I bought were the Patriot Blend and Blueberry and they were great as well. I definitely will be back to buy more!

Usually, I would rate this business as 5 stars however recently I've noticed a slip in customer service. My order has been forgotten twice in a row when the store is pretty slow and it is beyond frustrating to have your time wasted because the workers would rather chat it up with their friends. Today instead of a Blueberry Bang I got a "tea" that tasted like dirty water with a weak peach syrup to cover it up. It is pretty disappointing.

I love coming here for coffee get-together with friends. Service is great and coffee is fantastic. It gets loud bc it's one big space, but it's not horrible. I always have wanted one of their cool shirts, so I wish they made them in women's.

Completely puppy friendly. If they are sound sensitive it may be a little overwhelming as it's an open warehouse industrial feel. Also seating outside. Nice coffee. Their latte selection is solid. Flavors are great without frills. Bags are available for take home and brew. If you're a vet you'll feel it from the merchandise and drink names. It's nice to sit and chill or grab and go. I only 4 star'd the food as it would vary depending on the food truck. Pastries available were not sampled therefore no data. I would order from Rio Good Food Truck again.

Coffee is good! Great atmosphere! Good service! Is quite pricy though (the addons and customizations).

Love Pale Horse! Good veteran owned local coffee! Great comfortable atmosphere. I’m praying they continue to thrive now that Black Rifle Coffee has come to Hampton Roads.

While I don’t have an in-person review of this place I can attest for how yummy their coffee is to brew at home. A friend came to visit me in Ohio and brought me some of their coffee to try and when I ran out this week I had to order more! Within an hour of placing my order they had already dropped my package off for delivery. I received two days later with my free shipping (above $50 promo). I wish this place was here before I moved out of the area, but am grateful to still enjoy their coffee from a few states away :)

4.5.. great friendly staff...I had the bayonet which was a latte with banana and cinnamon. I had extra banana syrup. It was really good . I'll get it the same way next time with no cinnamon. So good.

Love going here for a hot chai and picking up coffee for gifts for family out of state. Staff is always friendly and I love that it’s veteran owned; my CG vet dad gets a kick out of the coffee names.

Amazing coffee shop! Their coffee is so smooth and flavorful. Their hazelnut latte was delicious. Not too sweet but not bitter. It has a brewery kind of vibe which makes it a great place to bring someone and hangout and enjoy the experience. Overall highly recommend and I’ll be back.

Sheyenne and Ashley help me out every morning I come in and are super helpful when I'm indecisive. Definitely recommend stopping by sometime! Also, happy birthday Ashley 🎉

Came in to buy some whole bean espresso for my Gaggia Classic. @ nearly $18 for 12oz of whole beans thats pretty steep. The coffee tasted good but i will stick to my Lavazza Alteco Organic beans. Better bang for the buck plus it doesnt have pesticides. Alteco sells for $18.64/2LB on their official website. I enjoy supporting small business but not when they are pricing nearly quadruple what it should be

Quiet, but a bit cold-feeling. By that I mean that the building is very open, high ceilings, open floor plan. A warehouse feeling. Kind of like Coalescence Coffee in Norfolk. I believe it was once a warehouse of sorts, so it makes sense. Not really something they can fix. It is a different kind of environment you would find at a place like Fair Grounds or Cure Coffeehouse, both of whom live in smaller, old buildings. Regardless, I can focus on homework. The few times I've been there no one was being very noisy or loud, something which I often experience at a place like Café Stella. Seems people usually go to Pale Horse to read a book or do homework, minding their own business with earbuds in. Perfect, I'm doing the same thing. However, the open air type building they're in doesn't provide for a relaxed or secure time, there's no nook or corner I can find to get comfortable. Nothing against the coffee itself, but rather the facility they chose to move into. Atmosphere affects the overall experience one has at a restaurant or café, cafes especially. People go to eat at restaurants, but people often go to cafes to have coffee while doing something else, and the surrounding environment can influence the effectiveness of the work or task the seek to accomplish while at the establishment. I don't particularly like Pale Horse's environment, but others may find it perfectly acceptable. It is a matter of preference. I figured I would let people know about my experiences while here, in light of my preferences and interests, which the purpose of these reviews.

Pale Horse is the best coffee. Tastes far superior than any other coffee houses I’ve visited. The selection is vast, service friendly and veteran owned is the icing on the cake to me.

This place is AMAZING! The coffee is definitely the best I've ever had, and they have a decent food selection for being a coffee house. The atmosphere is top-notch. I love the military relevance in both decor and menu names. This place was also really busy when I went, and I thought I'd be in line and waiting forever, but they were so fast it seemed like I was the only one there. I also have pretty bad social anxiety, but I did not feel that once despite the place being busy. The bathroom was not only very clean, but also really pretty. I cannot say enough good things about every aspect of this business.

This place ROCKS!!! We ordered online, and something happened to the package. Long story short, we only received a part of the order (think USPS busted the box and tried to “fix” things….) Contacted Elena, the production manager, and explained the situation. Not only did she remember packing our order (kudos!), but she was VERY apologetic and made things right!! She sent the remaining order via FedEx and we received it even quicker than the original order. When so many businesses say, “it’s not our fault,” and move on, Elena made this right and made a customer from Colorado for life! Thx Pale Horse!!

Best coffee I’ve had. Always tastes amazing, never needed to add anything to it which is a first for me. The temperate is always just right. Great, fast and friendly service. There can be a line in here and I’d still be in and out faster than I’d be at Dunkin or Starbucks. The rewards are great too! Love everything about this place!
