Next Door Bake Shop is my go to in Blacksburg for special occasion desserts! We loved their Easter brownie and rose cupcakes. Also great for a grab and go boba, breakfast sandwich, or lunch.

My FAVORITE bakery! Not only are the staff and menu items incredible, you can’t beat the prices and supporting local! My favorite is the perfect pesto bagel and lavender latte! My kids are obsessed with the bubble tea and cookies/pastries! You can’t go wrong!

Cute and cozy little bake and beverage shop tucked away in Blacksburg. Everything we've gotten has been delicious. Owner is amazing, staff is super friendly. A must stop for us when we're in town.

Came here on a Saturday morning, waited 30 minutes ,literally for a croissant and latte. That was nuts. Way too long wait time.

I ordered a vegan chocolate cake and it was honestly the best cake I have had…other vegan and non vegan cakes cannot compare . I also go here for coffee and breakfast and it is great! I highly recommend going here to eat and work. If you are on VT campus you can walk here. They also have free parking for people who are staying to eat here and there is always lots of space. ( side note, coffee is served in fun mugs that are all different)

I tried to order things for my friend for delivery on Valentines day and the person who was taking my order on the phone yelled at me when I misunderstood his question. Did not appreciate this tone and attitude and will not be ordering from here.

I love all the many options this place has and I enjoyed immensely the matcha tea I got. (Very well made). The music was a little loud for my liking and all the furniture is uncomfortably old and worn, but apart from that, this is a cute little spot and so convenient to campus. I love that there is some parking out front too. I imagine I'll be back here again. (I didn't try the baked goods, but they did look yummy).

My kids and I love the taro bubble tea, however the last 4 times we have gotten it the bubbles have been disappointing. They are either a day old and are hard in the middle or they have clumped together to the point where they won't flow through the straw. I hope in the future some extra care and attention can be given to the bubbles to ensure they are the right consistency. For now though, we are going to take a break from next door bake shop :(

The Taro Milk Tea served here was unequivocally the worst boba tea I have ever consumed. While the atmosphere of the shop was warm and inviting, the drink was anything but. My first sip was full of icy chunks that watered down the drink and made the process of drinking the boba unpleasant. Moreover, the boba straw was far too short to adequately reach the bottom of the 24oz container, with the straw falling through the hole and into the cup on more than one occasion. Last, the lack of customization options compared to other boba shops meant that my drink not only came out icy and thick, but also considerably less sweet than any other boba I’ve ever had. Disappointed is an understatement.
