Next Door Bake Shop is my go to in Blacksburg for special occasion desserts! We loved their Easter brownie and rose cupcakes. Also great for a grab and go boba, breakfast sandwich, or lunch.
Wonderful experience. I was able to oder a treat for my Hokie and she loved it!
Next Door Bake Shop is a fantastic place to visit for coffee and food. It is a comfortable atmosphere with great food and drinks. I also highly recommend them for catering. The quality of food and service is top notch. They were easy to plan with and exceeded expectations. I highly recommend a visit to this fabulous place or utilizing their catering for your next event.
I have worked with Next Door Bake Shop both personally and professionally and my experiences have always been great. Pie always goes above and beyond with our orders making sure they not only taste good but look beautiful.
Good bagel sandwiches, coffee, Thai tea, and birthday cake.
Great place for breakfast. Food and service was great.
My FAVORITE bakery! Not only are the staff and menu items incredible, you can’t beat the prices and supporting local! My favorite is the perfect pesto bagel and lavender latte! My kids are obsessed with the bubble tea and cookies/pastries! You can’t go wrong!
The coconut latte is absolutely amazing!!!
Can always count on a huge smile and wonderful food that is consistently on point! The variety of breakfast sandwiches is amazing, best bagels in town!
Cute and cozy little bake and beverage shop tucked away in Blacksburg. Everything we've gotten has been delicious. Owner is amazing, staff is super friendly. A must stop for us when we're in town.
We love this bakery! I picked up several hot cocoa bombs as a Christmas gift for my neices and nephews and they loved them
I have visited Next Door Bake Shop many times over my four years as a Virginia Tech student. From everything from study sessions to first dates, I have always had a wonderful time here. Good coffee, good bagels, and good atmosphere.
Came here on a Saturday morning, waited 30 minutes ,literally for a croissant and latte. That was nuts. Way too long wait time.
LOVE this place! go once a week! they have customizable bagels and you can get whatever you want on it. my iced hazelnut coffee was so good and they are always adding new things to the menu that are fun to try! the girls that were working were also really nice! would recommend, its a quick stop for good food!
Love this place!! Bagel is always so yummy and I love their matcha or coffee lattes☕️
I ordered a vegan chocolate cake and it was honestly the best cake I have had…other vegan and non vegan cakes cannot compare . I also go here for coffee and breakfast and it is great! I highly recommend going here to eat and work. If you are on VT campus you can walk here. They also have free parking for people who are staying to eat here and there is always lots of space. ( side note, coffee is served in fun mugs that are all different)
I tried to order things for my friend for delivery on Valentines day and the person who was taking my order on the phone yelled at me when I misunderstood his question. Did not appreciate this tone and attitude and will not be ordering from here.
I love all the many options this place has and I enjoyed immensely the matcha tea I got. (Very well made). The music was a little loud for my liking and all the furniture is uncomfortably old and worn, but apart from that, this is a cute little spot and so convenient to campus. I love that there is some parking out front too. I imagine I'll be back here again. (I didn't try the baked goods, but they did look yummy).
My kids and I love the taro bubble tea, however the last 4 times we have gotten it the bubbles have been disappointing. They are either a day old and are hard in the middle or they have clumped together to the point where they won't flow through the straw. I hope in the future some extra care and attention can be given to the bubbles to ensure they are the right consistency. For now though, we are going to take a break from next door bake shop :(
The Taro Milk Tea served here was unequivocally the worst boba tea I have ever consumed. While the atmosphere of the shop was warm and inviting, the drink was anything but. My first sip was full of icy chunks that watered down the drink and made the process of drinking the boba unpleasant. Moreover, the boba straw was far too short to adequately reach the bottom of the 24oz container, with the straw falling through the hole and into the cup on more than one occasion. Last, the lack of customization options compared to other boba shops meant that my drink not only came out icy and thick, but also considerably less sweet than any other boba I’ve ever had. Disappointed is an understatement.
