When I think of Blacksburg, I think of Bollos. It embodies what I love best about this town: chill, grassroots, and focused on the community as much as their craft (which is incredible). Cheap mug coffee and wifi so you can just so and study of read the newspaper or simply play a board game (of which they have many). I have seen "hipster" coffee joints, and this isn't pandering to that crowd; it's rough around the edges in the best possible way. The energy wasted at Blue Bottle or the like at making a sleek clinical environment is put into the people, the business, the town, and—of course—the coffee (or tea or smoothies or whatever beverage you desire to get you moving). I love Bollos so much and I don't think you could replicate it anywhere if you tried. Because trying to be like Bollos would be the antithesis of Bollos: unapologeticaly itself, proud of it, and an inspiration to its town and patrons to be the same.
Good gluten free stuff on certain days
Fantastic quality on coffees, teas, and bakery items. Really appreciate the gluten free Tuesdays and Saturdays!! One of my absolute favorite local spots.

Always love coming here- small town homey vibe that is amazing. The morning regulars make it feel like a small town version of Cheers. And the coffee and muffins are delicious!!
I've been stopping by this place whenever I come to Blacksburg for the past several years. Today I stopped in during the town event, and I spent $16 on coffee and pastries. After receiving it, and hanging out a little while, I asked to use the bathroom and was told it was closed to the public. I understand not offering a public restroom during the event, but I was a paying customer who just ordered pastries and coffee. I desperately needed a bathroom! I will not be making my regular stop to Bollos when I'm in town anymore. This is poor customer service and I'm disappointed in the management decision to do this.

Very good place and public feeling.
Deep taste of coffee blend. I remember when I first tried a 'red-eye' coffee in this coffee shop. It was soooo good and wasn't expecting that coffee would be really tasty. Still, I used to go here whenever I want to feel the smooth but deep taste of coffee.
Best coffee and pastries ever. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend the chocolate oat bars and pumpkin choco chip muffins.

Best coffee shop in Blacksburg. They make good espresso drinks, but the quality of their beans is unmatched in Blacksburg. Their baked goods are unique and I appreciate the seasonal variety and options for vegan/gluten/-free etc.
Super friendly staff but I don’t recommend the mocha or raspberry cheese danish.

Okay service. Seems like they didn't want me there when I was ordering a birthday cake. Later through the week they called me to tell me they only have 6in pans cause another baker took all there sizes for a wedding cake. All that was fine. Then I get a call the next day just to be told they can't make it and they are trashing the order.
Such a variety of vegan baked goods! I loved the pumpkin muffin. The drinks and tea options are never ending!

Best coffee in town! The owner is super friendly and works hard to ensure customer satisfaction and tries to make everyone feel like family. Try the coffee and then go to gillies for an awesome breakfast
