Great food and coffee!
- coffee was not that great to be honest, tasted a bit burnt and under-flavored. Then Cookies were really good though. - staff were ok, none seemed to have a personality though. - prices are normal for the area. - service was quick. - parking can be limited depending on when you go. - overall, I probably won't go back sadly.
Pleasant coffee and drinks, nice pastries, and wonderful sandwiches. Was going to give this place 4 stars, but the Cuban was genuinely one of the best I've had, well toasted with good bread, real pork, and zesty pickles. Crowded, but they move the line quickly. They have a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating.
An awesome coffee shop with excellent baked goods, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. Everyone who works there is really nice too!
This place was crazy busy with folks working remotely or meeting for work. The customers were nice and were good about sharing table solace though. Coffee was good.
Friendly staff, great coffee, delicious pastries! The breakfast sandwiches are not 100% but everything else is top notch!
Bacon egg n cheese me on everything plz
Dirty chai is top 5 I’ve ever tasted! Customer service is great. Wifi is perfect when you’re trying to get work done along with the clean seating area which there is plenty of.
A straight forward coffee shop that also has a bar. Good chai latte.
Extremely friendly staff with a unique little cafe. Unfortunately the coffee is nothing to write home about. The iced latte I ordered was bitter and lacked any defining flavors.
The staff here is amazing!!!
Extremely disappointing experience. I came with my husband, daughter and dog. We ordered two bowls of soup. We sat inside beside another couple who had a Labrador. There was no mention at all that our dog or dogs in general were not allowed. We ordered inside and spent some time waiting for our order but none of the staff approached us about our dog. Finally as we sat down to have our soup they asked my husband to leave because only “service dogs” were allowed. There was a Labrador right beside us, inside the cafe..NOT a service dog. We were all very confused as the website and all the reviews state this place was dog friendly. That’s exactly why we came. My husband asked if he could at least finish his soup since he was almost done and the server said, “no, sorry, you have to leave.” The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. To kick someone out as they’re finishing theyre meal, no mention at all that ONLY service dogs were allowed. Never coming back here and I don’t recommend it.
Cool spot for rotating beers and great coffee/tea options. Staff is always a joy to chat with. Great concept!
Yesterday a group and I went to this cute store after eating WooBoi next door. We were all having such a great time but the mood all changed as soon as we started making out order at St. Elmos. We were the second couple to order and the women taking our order was extremely rude. Her answers were short and she seemed bothered by us being in the store. Afterwards talking to our other friends they shared they had the same experience as us. I am not sure why she was so unhappy/ upset taking our orders. That will remain a mystery. I have a few guess though… The other gentleman who gave us our order was really nice. The coffee was beyond amazing but it was just very unfortunate how we were treated.
Not my vibe. It was an okay place, mocha and chai latte were fine and so was the ham egg and cheese breakfast bagel. I would not order the avocado toast again, it was light on avocado. Since it was cold outside not alot of seating options especially with folks taking up space with laptops.
This place just isn’t even decent. I have given it two tries and it has terribly underwhelmed both times. The coffee is “meh” and the food is insanely slow to arrive. When the simple breakfast food does finally arrive it is wholly bland tasting and hotter than the surface of the sun - because they clearly take the pre-cooked ingredients and put it in something to heat it up. OT North is starving for a coffee shop, but this is not it.
Ordered a pumpkin spice latte and a mocha last weekend from St. Elmo's. The latte had a very strange almost dirt flavor to it. It was also very watery like they added some milk to regular coffee, not the usual texture and flavor you'd get from espresso + milk. The mocha, between my partner and I, we kept taking sips to figure out if it was, in fact, mocha. Nope, that was a straight up hot chocolate. There was just no way that drink had any coffee in it and it tasted just like a very generic hot chocolate. It was our first time here and it was extremely disappointing and won't be returning to this place after what was essentially just throwing away money down the drain.
I’m so glad my boyfriend and I came in today! The coffee flavors were great - I wanted a lavender latte - and so were the sandwich and pastry options. We got a lavender latte with oat milk, latte with regular milk, breakfast sandwich on sourdough, breakfast sandwich on a bagel, and a chocolate chip scone. Each item was delicious, sweet/savory, and ready quickly. The atmosphere was great too for encouraging us to study!
Delicious coffee and pastries! Had their banana waffle and it was very good.
My favorite coffee shop in Old Town! Chill atmosphere, great bites, and tasty drinks. I love their order ahead feature. Plenty of seating between indoor and outdoor tables. Dog friendly!
