One of my favorite coffee shops. The only downside is how busy/crowded it can get from the Little Gym nextdoor. Especially on Saturdays
If your in the area and your looking for a good cup of coffee while you read your Sunday paper this is it!! The decor reminds me of a small cafe in Paris. The pastries are delicious and their breakfast Sandwiches are to die for💖💖
A great place to bring the family or even study. All the pastries and food made fresh. All the staff was friendly and attentive.

Beautiful ambiance and excellent for kids to have a delicious goûter. There is only 1 thing that needs to dissapear, that is all the 'to go' supplies for in dining. So sad to see so much unnecessary waste. Thank you!
I am so happy to have stumbled upon this place. As soon as you walk in you immediately want to throw yourself in one of those big couches and stay. The coffee menu is classic with a few spins which completes the cozy feeling. That bacon quiche was by far the BEST I've ever had. The crust was buttery and crisp, the bacon/cheese fillings worked beautifully together, and the egg mixture was somehow perfectly cooked to be creamy and just overwhelmingly delicious. The croissants are gorgeous. Flaky, buttery, and golden brown. Very much living up to their French claim. Definitely coming back to try everything else they have to offer.
I stopped in a few months ago to buy pastries for my coworkers. The service was great and the pastries were amazing! Everyone at the office loved them and I will definitely be back for more!
Recent family visit to Grounded Coffee left us wanting more. The tomato soup and Chicken BLT were tasty. Our salads, fresh and crispy. The variety of delicious oversized pastries gave us a guilt-free excuse to take some home. Love the service. What a winning combination. We will be back soon! The Lopez Family

It is a charming place with excellent attention. Short rib polenta, desserts, and coffee are delicious.

A delightful, comfortable place with plenty of seating (tables, high tables, sofas, inside and outside), kind service and tasty coffee. They also have some non-coffee options and a good variety of sweets (including a very tasty gluten free carrot cake) and a few grab and go prepackaged savory snacks. They might have more options in the early morning. Fairly priced too. The atmosphere was so great that I didn’t even need my headphones. A variety of people too, laptops and families and friends catching up. Just be aware of their closing times.
Great Customer Service! The Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding and the matcha latte are mate favoritesss!!

I am never disappointed coming here, and I come pretty regularly. Food and coffee are consistently delicious. All of the staff are so nice and fun to talk to. Christian is a superb barista! Everyone keep up the good work :-)
What an amazing establishment. The Croissant was delicious and the coffee was out of this world.
The Grounded is found off the beaten path of Alexandria and will require you to likely make a specific trip here if you don't live in the general vicinity. Nevertheless, the trip will be well-worth the visit if you are coffee drinker, or more importantly, one who appreciates fine baked goods and sweet confections with their coffee. Now, to be honest, I've been here twice and gotten a mocha and their standard cappuccino. The former was great and the latter was bit on the milky side and was unremarkable. I look forward to getting one of their regular coffees and I've heard their lattes are the best which is not my preference. But, let's talk about them sweets...the pumpkin bundt cake, the chocolate bundt are the best I've ever had....so moist and balanced with sweetness....much like that chain place but with a homemade mouth feel. The pumpkin cheese cake was perfection...again, balanced perfectly with pumpkin flavor and cheesecake texture. The chocolate bread puddingnwas my favorite...eaten the next day, I heated up for 30 secs in the microwave and added a touch of vanilla ice cream. I think for this item alone the trip here is worth it. If you are not a bread pudding fan, I believe this item could change your mind. At the writing of this review, I have not eaten my stuffed oreo cookie yet, see picture. I'll have to come back and update. I recommend this establishment without reservation.
