A solid cup of coffee but even better pastries. I ordered the Mamoul Mud Clotted Cream and it was absolutely divine. The service was friendly and fast. I’ll be dreaming of that little pistachio and clotted cream pastry. Outdoor seating is cute
I spent the week of May 8, 2023 at the US Courthouse in Alexandria for a Trial. Each day, we had lunch at Sprigs. I cannot say enough great things about this place; very friendly, clean, extremely good food and interesting menu. This place a real find and I wish they would open a location in Rockville, MD, where we are located.
We had the need to drive an hour to the courthouse here, and planned ahead of time a place to relax beforehand over coffee and a nice pastry. On here, it looked like a great choice. WRONG. Starbucks around the corner would have been a much better selection. This is one of those times when the reviews here let you down, so I felt the need to share now. This is a tiny little shop with a few unusual sweet selections, mostly middle eastern inspired (don't misunderstand, I'm a foodie and love such things). I tried one, which was just "meh', along with the two coffees we needed before our meeting. Yuck, even gas stations have better coffee these days. What a letdown. I hate to write this review on a much admirable small business, but this is not what it appeared, and I would not go back.
Airy, comfortable, and delicious. Kind staff made modifications to my order without an extra charge. Salmon bagel was delicious - cheapest price for salmon in the area by far. The Maamoul-based pastries alone are worth the trip! Free wifi, outlets, tables.
Nice little coffee shop with pastries
Great food, friendly service, and nice indoor and outdoor seating options. Extra bonus points for no fuss online order & pickup through their website.
Nice little hidden gem. Great sandwiches and service.
Ordered from them through Door dash two times. The first time was excellent, the second time I ordered an iced latte and received a hot coffee. When I called to try and get my order fixed, the options were not helpful and I basically wasted $5
Polite and great service
I tried the lox panini, iced Carmel latte, and baklava today. The cafe is bright, good seating options, very friendly staff, quick service. The salmon sandwich was a bit dry and the salmon not very flavorful. The baklava was good for the more nutty pastry less honey style but I was craving the other style. Iced coffee was good with plenty of Carmel.
Their menu does not reflect what they charge and what they serve. Quite deceiving. Parking is very limited. Will not be going back.
I have been twice and the smoked salmon and cream cheese on a bagel is perfect. The drip coffee is also good basic coffee with a nice medium roast. The sorting area is very open and bright and clean. People working there are very welcoming.
Bad coffee old sweets
I love this place!! Absolutely five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! 😄👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏼 The service is remarkably friendly and very hospitable. The place is welcoming and has great ambience and the food is amazing and **delicious** 👌🏼☺️. So far I’ve has the salmon panini (which as I write this I wish I had one now!!), the rice pudding 🤗, tabbouleh salad (fresh and delicious), and the baklava. I actually ordered a lot of baklava to go since it keeps very well, is great with coffee and theirs is divine. I also took home some of their pastry bars as my carry out, which I have not tried yet. The tabbouleh salad is excellent and this afternoon I had some with a toasted croissant at home. I am super glad I bought lots of take out. 😄 I look forward to trying more items from their menu, and continuing with the ones I already tried. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed ☺️
Incredibly happy to have this wonderful place in our neighborhood. Abbas is 10/10 the best cafe owner I’ve ever encountered. Very thoughtful and very professional. The pastries are to die for. Highly recommended
Cool that the coffee is roasted by veterans. The service was quick & the lady was nice. It definitely feels like a coffee shop in a corporate building without much character. If there's wifi, it didn't work which was disappointing since I stopped here to get some work done.
What an incredible find! This Lebanese, family owned cafe turns out the best coffee and Middle Eastern pastries as well as a very generous portion of housemade tabouli. Authentic and delicious. Highly, highly recommend.
This lil coffee shop is right across from The Westin Alexandria Old Town, so convenient. Coffee was delicious and I really wanted to take home some beans but didn’t have room. I got the lox bagel and it wasn’t good at all. My husband loved his croissant though and the pastry that I had was also delicious.
They have the best caramel latte. Their triple chocolate cookie is really good too, not too sweet. Some of the food is hit or miss but I like their omelettes and home fries.
Lived in the area for a bit but waited to go here, and definitely waited too long - I've been missing out. Pretty basic coffee options, but it's GOOD coffee! The food though is where it secretly shines. I was expecting simple premade stuff, but no the sandwiches are made to order. The VIP Club is my favorite. As the cherry on top, their homemade Lebanese pastries are wicked good. Must try and I will definitely be returning.
