One of the most delicious concepts on buns. We tried all the vegetarian ones and they were great. The owner was baking herself! A must try. Home made, hand made, local, and simply delicious.

The east west buns are to die for. I did a breakfast sandwich that was disappointing. The bun was cold and they didn't cook the egg as I asked. The service is absolutely lovely. The guy shouting out coffee orders was especially upbeat and kind.
Google said you were closed but we tried and to our delight you were open. Yummy drinks and scrumptious food

The best go to breakfast bakery in Middlebury, hands down. We ordered take out, and went in picked up our order, to eat on the road.
Haymaker is the best bakery there is!! The buns are absolutely amazing and the people are the nicest. If I lived in Middlebury I would be here everyday!
great buns and such a welcoming atmosphere. the buns aren’t cheap at around $4-5 each, but they make up for it with the phenomenal river view. a gem of a dessert/brunch establishment in middlebury💎

Excellent flavor pairings, using fresh and local ingredients in their pastries as well as lunch menu items. It's my go to spot at 8am when I need a good bun and cup of coffee! I have never had a bad item from Haymaker. And the option for made to order cakes or the frozen buns on their web site is a life saver when you need to celebrate in a pinch.
This place is perfect. The staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere is always peaceful and pleasant. Every seat has a lovely view of Otter Creek running by outside. The food is fantastic and the buns are to die for. …it really is my go-to “treat yourself “ happy place in Middlebury, and in the crazy world we live in, I’m so grateful for places like that.
I love getting custom birthday cakes here - they are the most beautiful AND delicious cakes! Great customer service, quick communication, and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Delicious homemade food. Love the lunch offerings, the double smashburger might be the best burger in Vermont! Always hard to pick from the menu because all of it sounds so good! Very friendly staff that work really hard. Great ambiance and beautiful deck seating overlooking the otter creek when the weather is nice.

Delicious!!! My go-to breakfast and lunch spot in the area! Savory buns are out of this world- I love their fresh and seasonal options for sweeter style buns- and their lunch is simple and tasty! Enjoying their food on a nice day on the river is such a delight.I even buy their frozen buns to bring to my family in CT AND ordered the big bun cake for a birthday and it was the hit of the party! Customer service is always stellar. Love this place! Highly recommend.
