Lovely afternoon tea served in a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Our server Katherine was attentive and the tea excellent. Hopefully, their next location in Ludlow will be just as inviting, intimate without being crowded. Definitely worth a trip every season!

Excellent experience! I brought my wife and 2 daughters here for Mothers Day. My wife is a HUGE fan of English culture, and I had searched everywhere for a real high tea. The tableware was beautiful. The food was delicious, and we had an entire menu to choose from an assortment of tea flavors (many of which neither of us have tried before). My wife had always wanted to try clotted cream, and it was delicious!

After much anticipation (we visited all the way from Connecticut after seeing this place on social media) we’re sad to say we were very disappointed. The place was lovely, cozy, and quaint. We ordered Chester Cream Tea and Laura's Sweet Tea from the menu. The tea came in pots with cozies covering them. The tea was nice and hot. The scones were absolutely delicious as was the clotted cream, jam, and lemon curd. The Laura sweet tea order never appeared. We had to ask if we were still getting our order. The staff explained that they had a busy afternoon and apologized. They also gave us 50% off the Laura sweet tea, which really wasn’t necessary. When the order arrived, it was simply some cold cookies, an unidentifiable mini cupcake and some chocolate covered biscotti. We had hoped for something more authentic and fresh. The visit wasn’t a total failure. I suppose our expectation should not have been so high.

This Tea House was a disappointment in every way. I called to reserve a table for 3 for a special three generational luncheon tea with my 93 year old mother, my newly engaged daughter and myself a few weeks ago. Last weekend I took a 2 hour trip to see the VT Tea House to make a dry run and visit to make sure everything would be seamless. When I arrived I noticed that the handicapped access ramp they told me that I inquired about was blocked by two garbage bins and a car in front of it. I went inside and told them that I had made a reservation for the following Saturday at 11:30 I also mentioned and was concerned about the wheelchair access for Saturday (March 18th). The waitress looked for the reservation and said that she didn't see it. A women came up to the counter to buy some tea and I said I could wait for her to get her tea, she kept serving the other customers there when a second waitress came out and the first waitress said thatshe couldn't find my reservation but was finally told there was an opening on that date and time we could still get in. She also told me the trash cans would be moved and that she would park somewhere else so the space would be available. Today, March 18th I showed up with my 93 year old mother and my lovely daughter. who will not only be getting married soon but leaving the state. We were so happy to finally be there. But things didn't look right when I pulled in. The the trash cans were in front of the ramp and there no other cars in front...I went up to the front door to find it locked and no lights on inside. I knocked on the door then I called two different numbers that were on the door to try to reach someone. I left messages about the situation and requested a return call. I went to the side door and knocked no sign of life there either. It is almost 9 pm, no call back, no message on my email nothing.... For the record, we did not have the lunch at the Tea House (obviously) and the Tea House did not get

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Vermont Tea House. She was on vacation and I took the week off from work. On the way home she kept saying to me that it was the best time she has had. The tea was delicious along with our scones. The carrot and coconut soup was a delicious masterpiece. I look forward to going back really soon.

First visit to VT Tea House for the full 'Tea' experience: Wonderful selection of teas blended for the Christmas/ Holiday season- I enjoyed the Nutcracker blend; three different mini sandwiches-all delicious; then a lovely assortment of sweets, including scones with lemon curd. And then after Tea, browsing the gift section. A delightful experience I'll definitely do again.
