Splendid artisan coffee roasted in-house and ethically sourced by the owner himself. A wonderful atmosphere, great studying spot, and great crew!

Beautiful place! Perfect for doing work. Coffee could be better (limited, small, + expensive), but the space makes up for it. Go for the experience, not the coffee.

Great coffee and drink selection. Comfortable seats and cozy fireplace. Kind staff and fast service. Love the different tables and atomosphere. In the back they often have the premier league on during the weekends - my favorite place to watch! Very fair prices as well. A great coffee shop!

Hadn’t been here before, but came for Las Hermosa’s Chilaquiles, and stayed for the ambience. Massive yet cozy space, quiet, and wonderful coffee.

I first tried Vivid coffee years ago in college. Winooski and Co was always a favorite coffee shop but at the time I just liked coffee. Then I met Ian and got to get some glimpses of the heart that goes into Vivid coffee, and I absolutely love their mission and the many initiatives they take. Because I no longer live in Vermont, I've had a coffee subscription off and on, and I am always so happy with the coffees I get. Last year my husband and I started to get serious about making our.own great coffee. We got an espresso machine and bought tons of different beans from several small businesses and some larger big name coffees. There are a lot of good coffees out there, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day nothing beats Sugar shack.

Awesome space, but very unimpressed with the coffee. It's possible I came on a bad day, but the dirty chai was soapy and bitter, and even the mocha I got to replace it was unfortunately extremely bitter as well, and the milk barely lukewarm with way too much foam for a latte. Overall, not very good, but could be just an inexperienced barista issue. I'll be trying the drip coffee next time.

Vivid is a very solid option for coffee in Burlington proper- I am a big fan of the maple lattes and of the opinion that the drip coffee is one of the best around (I have not had them all….yet). The baked goods are exceptional as well- do try the sticky bun (they call it something else)- yum! I like the ambience as well- clean, well appointed and spacious. Have had several mornings there where the sun was bursting through the main window- an instant mood elevator:) I don’t get the aggressively negative reviews as they really skew the overall rating unfairly. Vivid should solidly be a 4.7+ overall on google imo.

This is an easy 5/5. Perfect atmosphere, great coffee, cool baristas, there’s somewhat limited food options from what I saw but still a great place to drink caffeine and study

Lo-fi chill indie atmosphere. Plants. White brick. Candelabras. I had a stellar kouign-amann. They do offer "real food" in plastic to-go containers from New Moon. They also sell coffee paraphernalia, like grinders, aeropresses, enamel mugs, and immersion kits. Plus bags of coffee (duh) and limited merch. Coffee is acceptable/good. 75¢ upcharge for plant milk though.

Ok let’s start off with the coffee. The people here are passionate and proud of the product- for good reason because it’s delicious. They pride the larva in sustainable sourcing but also ethical sourcing. The story behind the coffee, the people, and the roast is a great representation of the dedication to a good product. The venue is absolutely stunning. It’s just a good vibe to go there wether it’s a beautiful day you enjoy the window view or in a rainy one it’s a cozy mood as well. Finally, I’d say all the pop ups and other events that happen keep new things coming into the space. The best perk is that it’s not directly on church street so it’s a lesser visible hidden gem which makes it much more accessible than other busier not as worth it spots. I would most definitely make this a stop while in BTV.
