Beautiful built restaurant in sugarland . It’s the penthouse with a balcony outside. I couldn’t believe this existed is sugarland . The food was the slam dunk. Bone in rib eye and Branzino fish was amazing. Highly recommend !!

I was blown away by the decor and the patio over looking a beautiful lake. We tried a. Variety of dishes and they all were beyond excellent and delicious. Chicken lollipops appetizer. Entrees:. Red snapper, Wes fried chicken ( Mac n cheese and collard greens) amazingggggg. We highly recommend

This establishment was trash. I attended a family members graduation event 05/27/2023 with high hopes of this place based off of what I’ve heard of this place. We were told to be there at 5pm. The employees were late. This included the hosts as well as cooks. We were supposed to be seated along the waterway. That didn’t happen. We were supposed to have a server per each table (3 tables in our group) That didn’t happen as well. We had one host who was a temp she was absolutely amazing being new she handled herself and the situation very well. The manager was completely unprofessional. He was dismissive and disrespectful to our group. He seemed agitated at taking our orders and was not handling the situation at all. At one point he left one of our tables and did not return until we had to call the attention of another server to finish their order. The manager never returned to help the new employee with our party! The drinks were watered down. Everyone ordered appetizers and entrees. But because the cooks were late to the scheduled event. All the food came out at extremely different times. Entrees were coming out before appetizers. Appetizers we showing up when people were done with their main entree. Who ever was cooking in the back you could clearly see we’re rushing. No quality in the food. The blackened chicken pasta was disgusting. They didn’t even drain the water out the pasta which was barely cooked. At the bottom of the bowl there was starchy water and because it was watery it was unseasoned. They defaulted all meats (lamb chops/steak)to be well done. A relative ordered the shrimp poboy. They cooked the shrimp with the veins and the shell still in/on them. My relative had to pick around his mouth to get rid of the shrimp shells. His plate was littered with pellets of half eaten shrimp and its shells like he was an owl regurgitating his meal. It was disgusting. Lastly, when it was time to cut the cake they brought dirty dishes that had previous icing from anoth

Came here for live music on Thursday. Lovely. The saxophonist DID HIS THING! Very talented. We didn't order food, only had mozzarella sticks. They were fresh out the grease, very hot. Service was exponential, our waiter was attentive, prompt, and polite. Beautiful venue inside and out. Small space so be sure to make a reservation.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Don’t waste your time or money. The service is horrendous, the staff was very unprofessional and the wait was unimaginable. 11:00 am reservation, arrived to an empty restaurant and they were not prepared to receive customers. Trash was on the floor and the restroom was filthy! It took over an hour to get the food and they completely forgot my son’s food which took another 30 minutes for (get this) bacon and eggs. My food turned cold waiting for my son’s food. And to add insult to injury, they automatically add 18% gratuity. Total wait time approximately 2 hours. Several other guests got tired of waiting and left.

Beyond disappointing!!! Yalls service has drastically declined. Had my nephews high-school graduation party here today and this was the worst service ever!!! Waiters sipping out of straws then putting them back in drinks before they take them to people...trying to charge me for a double shot and you brought me 2 singles...messed up orders. Worst seafood platter I've ever had. I won't be back for awhile. Had people here from out of town you treated them like trash. Get better staff!!! Who wants to wait 30 minutes to get one shot of Hennessey??? I cannot believe yall are still open with this service. Not a kid friendly menu that's crazy

Where do I start. This establishment is highly unacceptable. My experience along with a few more of my colleagues was very distasteful. Poor and unprofessional management. Staff has no customer service expertise whatsoever . My party and I had reservations at 8 we were on time and ready for a fine dining experience. However once we arrived we were greeted very unpleasantly and the hostess refused to sit us at a table after we’ve expressed we had reservations. They were not prepared to accommodate 12 guest. We were denied a table once they expresses they were not able to sit us together and we asked for other dining options. Nonetheless we were finally placed outside and was assigned one waitress for a party of 12. We ordered drinks and they were slow to deliver once we ordered our food we had to abruptly wait 2 hrs to receive . Food was awful no season or too seasoned. Our waitress was very classless and the service was extremely slow. The manager on site was rude , classless and unprofessional. We were not accommodated respectfully on our complaints. I would give this establishment 1 star. Nice ambiance but very poor quality, staff , and management. Dont waste your Money!

The Roof has been on my list for a long time, so I took my sister for her birthday and I seriously regret it. It was the worst $127 I've ever spent! In full disclosure, we went late in the evening and they were out of several food items. Our waiter was rude towards my sister, but she checked him quickly and he lightened up. Our food came out about 10 minutes after a couple that arrived after us and it was not as described. The ambiance was okay. This was an awful experience and I'm never going back.

This restaurant is a half ⭐ DO NOT EAT HERE!! The management is horrible and needs to be trained on consumer eithque Service was INADEQUATE We were a party of twelve and this establishment could not accommodate us The food was unacceptable and taste like out of the box We expressed our concerns to the chef and he was rude and told us to talk to management We waited 2 hours before we finally got our food and it was brought out one plate at a time The restroom were not clean I STRONGLY SUGGEST TO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The service was terrible. We arrived at 8:30 pm management would not accommodate our party by putting two tables together. There was no reason why the tables could not be moved. We were seated outside which was nice however we did not receive food until 9:30 pm. The appetizers were bought out without flat wear. I had to ask for flat wear and they were dirty. When I finally received my food which was the catfish étouffée the rice was hard and dry my entree seem as if it was rewarmed or set for a while before I received it. The sausage was burnt on the edges and the crab ball taste like a salt ball it was very salty to the point I could not eat it. I was not able to eat anything at this establishment. The food was horrible and a complete nightmare. This was my birthday and The Roof Top ruined this for me by this experience. I would not advise anyone to this restaurant.

Horrible Horrible , the food was absolutely terrible and salty . All the seafood was straight out the lake. My mom was also allergic to mushrooms annd it was bought to the table on her plate. Everyone was so all over the place and unprofessional. Manager was nowhere to be found and we wasted 3 hours at this establishment and was hungry with headaches. But if you want a good drink then the bar is good but that’s about it. Staff also bad attitudes and didn’t even care that everything was horrible

The customer service wasn't great. They were slow and not accomadating. They also charged gratuity and a service fee for non-cash. This is why they don't care about cutomer service. The food was wasn't but not worth the prices they were charging.

It's an alright place. We considered having our wedding reception here but after dining, our mood changed. The Ribeye steaks are strangely grey, tough, way underseasoned. Mashed potatoes and asparagus were also underseasoned; the vegetables cooked outside but still raw in the middle. If you intend to have a party outside on the roof you may have to yell over the several HVAC fans underneath you. There was no soap in the women's bathroom, only 4 empty soap dispensers and bottles. Despite all of this the prices are VERY high. They wanted to charge every guest refill as a new drink on top of dishes averaging $42 and made no accommodations for us despite how much we were going to spend on the food and reservation of the venue. I think the best reason to visit The Roof would be just for the bar and nothing else.

The venue itself is very nice. A modern and classy interior with a very beautiful outside section if you're looking for something more intimate. Food unfortunately is not up to par with the prices you are paying. The Ravioili is great for $25, but when your $42 ribeye is overcooked, not tender, under seasoned, and gray it makes you question how they could charge that much for such an underwhelming dish. They are also not upfront with how gratuity or accommodation fees are managed. We were to be charged an extra gratuity as a "party" of 4 people. Again the atmosphere is nice, but don't set your expectations too high for this establishment.

it was really a 2.5 the food that you'd think taste good didn't taste good at all .. no season on majority (65%) for as much as we paid won't be coming back maybe for brunch but this food wasn't it at all

Incredible menu and atmosphere. My wife and I was so surprised of the presentation of our brunch lunch. Check out our plate. We are differently going back for the whole snapper!!
