The espresso machine was down, I don't hold that against them. But we tried the moon mud and it tasted like burnt coffee left on a burner... Of course with sweetener added. Unfortunately that is my only experience for now. But it looked and smelled great in there.
First time customers. The supervisor helped us with online order. Service was great, coffee yummy, and the outside patio seating was wonderful. One of the staff said they have at times weekend venders and music 🎶. Great place to hangout
Moonbeans coffee is an absolute gem in the world of coffee shops. As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a warm, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The decor is modern yet comfortable, with plenty of seating options to choose from. You can sit at a table and work on your laptop, cozy up on a in the outside patio with a good book, or chat with friends over a cup of coffee. The natural lighting and soothing music create a serene ambiance that makes it the perfect place to unwind. Now, let's talk about the coffee. Moonbeans offers an impressive selection of coffee drinks, from classic lattes and cappuccinos to creative seasonal blends. Their baristas are skilled at their craft and are always happy to customize your drink to your liking. Not to mention, the coffee is always freshly roasted and brewed to perfection. But what sets Moonbeans apart from other coffee shops is the warm and welcoming environment. From the friendly staff to the cozy seating areas, you'll feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to work or a spot to catch up with friends, Moonbeans coffee has got you covered. Overall, Moonbeans coffee is a must-visit for anyone who loves great coffee and a comfortable environment. You won't be disappointed!
Ordered a Corrado and got a cafe latte. Also my partner Ordered a espresso and it was bitter and burnt. Friendly staff but not much else going on in this place.
A little hole in the wall place in McAllen, Moonbean has some pretty good coffee but wasn’t necessarily worth the money in my opinion. The service wasn’t fantastic, I was the only customer there and no one really seemed happy to be working. They had a good selection of food and snacks, and they use boars head meat which is a huge plus in my book! Coffee was good, came out quickly and tasted like any other coffee I’ve had before, except it was almost $7 for a 12 oz. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come again but it was a good experience!
My happy place. I out of town alot and I fell centered when I get my double shot Expresso there. Place has character. Unlike the shiney new places
The coffee was great. I found it a bit oppressive with the low black ceilings .
Great staff! Nice outdoor sitting! Coffee is great👍🏽
Worst drinks ever the latte I got was so watery and tasteless and my friends drink was also watered down.
Barista skipped the line for his friends - not cool after 20minutes wait
They’re always saying they’re “out of medium cups”. Every single time I go here they say that, encouraging you to buy a small or a large. Just buy more cups? It’s not like they don’t get a lot of business
The tea is very good, the coffee has been bitter when I order it. I usually come to study but the wifi has been really bad and wont let you connect if too many are on it which is kinda disappointing. Make sure you bring your things charged because there is not many outlets. Lighting can also be kinda bad since there isn't many lights inside and it gets dark after like 6. Staff is very nice but the no wifi and lighting sucks.
Wifi never connected and barista said that if too many people are connected it won’t work…definitely need better wifi.
Great place, I really enjoy when they do markets and pop ups
Moonbeans will always have a special place in my heart, I enjoy going there to get a good study session in, hang out in the patio with friends, or just or have a fun family game night. My only complaints would be that a good portion of the outlets offered in the tables (not that many btw) do not work, so try to come with some portable charger. Another thing is the music that they play often does get pretty loud, so make sure to bring some headphones if that's not your thing while studying. Overall, I am not a very big fan of their coffee, for some reason their iced coffees are often very bitter and strong, not worth the $8/drink.
First experience was my last experience. Tried to order a couple of items most of the items they didn’t have. Just the moonmud, I’m allergic to diary and told the barista and it wasn’t much help. She just kept suggesting the moonmud which already was pre made with diary. Wasn’t helpful enough to tell me what they did have in stock. I wouldn’t go back it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
Amazing inside and outdoors experience stuff is amazing the restroom are amazing the floors are amazing the plants are amazing Overall I could comfortably say it's amazing
Firstly, I absolutely miss the old moonbeans location. This new site has so much potential, but is GOING TO WASTE!!! Unfortunately, outdoor area is in need of some TLC and usually dirty. Bathrooms are typically out of order. The coffee is mediocre at best, but offers a wide range of items on their menu. There are often times where the place stinks like burned coffee beans that literally brings tears to my eyes. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, please fix the furniture. I refrain from giving 1 star simply because this establishment is extremely supportive of local artists and has kind baristas.
Love this place! Love the vibes and the coffee and the pop up markets they sponsor
This place is ridiculous, I waited about 18 minutes for a drink and I understand it’s busy but at least make it worth it by giving good service and good drinks, that’s because I left a tip, now I see why others go to Starbucks :/
