Blueberry pancakes so large and delicious! Scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Very nice breakfast place.

Our first time! Great experience. We took out some and his family. Pancakes as big as plates! Gabrielle was our server and did a fabulous job. We felt special. Go early. The place is popular. Breakfast starts at 7 am. Closed on Mondays. Check the menu and prices online.

My family and I go here often for breakfast. No more I am afraid. The food is great but the service has steadily gone down hill. We waited 40 minutes from the time we sat down .. with a toddler that does not work well! The server passed us several times dealing with to go orders. She never checked on us once. I finally had to get another server to get our food to go. That is the only way I would eat here again. Explains the multiple to go orders.

Not really into the organized religion vibe but the food is amazing (best tuna sandwich I’ve ever had) and the service is super friendly. Also, I love their tea and pecan coffee.

Omg the chicken pot pie was delicious. There was a fluffy biscuit style crust on the top of the pie that meshed well with the creamy chicken gravy. Yummy. My husband had the stew, the beef was very tender and did not have a dry texture.

Red Oak Cafe is always been a favorite of my wife and myself. We love the atmosphere and the food. You gotta have the pancakes and the jalapeño gravy is amazing.

Food was good and tasted like a good home cooked meal. Great service from the waiter, extremely nice Hispanic lady. Thankful we had her serving us. Definitely an environment that might show favoritism towards certain people, so even if you’re seated first and just sit there and wait for service.. others may come in after you and get service before you based on what they look like. A waiter was sent over after they noticed we saw what was going on, our disgust was that obvious. She was sent to put the fire out I suppose. Glad I read the lowest reviews because I saw others have had the same experience in the past. Probably just what comes with being in this area, next time we’re leaving Galveston we definitely won’t be stopping here again but cool to know what it’s like I guess. 🤷🏾‍♀️

The staff, food and service were great. I would have given 5 stars but upon arrival we were told it would be a 35 min wait, which I understand is an estimate. After 45 minutes, I noticed people that arrived after us were still going in before us. I asked why that was (we were only party of 4) and it was because people were checking in online. I had 2 children under 2 years old and it would have been great to know this was occurring because we didn't get seated until an hour and 5 minutes after arrival. They did expedite and brought the kids plates out first after waiter noticed they were already impatient. Huge thanks! In total we ended up spending 2 hours there after we finished eating. Maybe having a system that only allows X number of online check in's per hour would be ideal.

We had a really good meal here. The food is excellent, and the portions are large. Our sever did a fantastic job and was very attentive even though it was a busy Saturday morning. Our only complaint is that we came for a couple of specific menu items, only to find they are no longer available. But we would definitely eat here again.

Me and my spouse come here on Sunday mornings, so of course it's pretty busy, i believe you can reserve your spot online so you wont have to wait as long once you arrive. No matter how busy it is, we are always greeted kindly upon entering, and the waitstaff are always polite and provide great service every time.

Super cute restaurant, clean, and very friendly & personable staff. We went for breakfast. The menu had traditional favorites and interesting twists like PB&banana crunchy panini. Yum! Best part was the positive vibe and affirmations, especially in the rest rooms. How strange to want to share a photo from the bathroom but the sticky note decor was fun and uplifting. Would return & recommend this restaurant to others.
