Oh dear god no. A one-course casual snack took over TWO HOURS. At one point we wondered if the waiter had resigned and left the building without telling anyone. The "Cuban Panini" had a bizzarre taste of day-old tuna salad. It was tiny, for $12. It would have been a small portion even for a child's plate. The side of fries came out 50 minutes after the sandwich, after reminding the waiter. He was nice, but seemed unaware of the extraordinary amount of time it took to get a simple sandwich and (50 minutes later) a tiny basket of fries. But the profound disappointment of a visit to Yaga's was not limited to the tuna-flavored pork sandwich. The "fresh gulf shrimp" po boy sandwich was curiously similar to the Sea Pak frozen breaded fried shrimp available in the grocery stores. Having lived on the Gulf coast for 22 years, I know what fresh gulf shrimp tastes like. You can kind of taste the green ocean in the shrimp, along wth a touch of iodine tang. This shrimp has, I fear, never had the pleasure of a dip in the Gulf. Maybe the Gulf of Tonkin, but certainly not the Gulf of Mexico. The most regrettable part, though, is that Yaga's was a wonderful place for a fresh and tasty hippie-themed snacking experince 15 years ago. Honestly, I can not recommend this establishment. This is a sad ending for a cafe that was once great. Next day update: Woke up with gastrointenstinal symptoms consistent with consumption of spoiled food. Avoid this dumpster fire of a failed eatery. Absolutely disasterous dining experience.

Great food, staff is very friendly and the restaurant was clean and organized. Pets are allowed on the outside patio. Definitely recommend.

The food here is delicious. My wife had the coconut shrimp and raved about their flavor. My son had a hamburger and fries. We sampled his fries and they were delicious and had great texture. A little seasoning on them would have made them perfect. I had the strawberry cider salad which was quite tasty. It was but on the sweet side. Had the apples been uncooked and the dressing had more vinegar it would have been more balanced.

Nice place, good prices, Da Pounder sandwich was really good. Did not care much for the shrimp burger.

My family and I love this place! The Shrimp Tejas are my favorite. First time we ate here was during the summer of 2019. We travel from Dallas and always stop here at least once during our trip to Galveston.

Love this place. Always have great service and ambience. It can get busy at times because of the location but on a nice day, there’s nothing like sitting outside in there courtyard and enjoying a delicious frozen margarita and people watching. Brunch, lunch or dinner the food is always very tasty. We love the jalapeño bites and seafood flautas appetizers and the shrimp burger is my favorite item on their menu. Always a great experience coming to Yagas.

Food is okay. Seemed a bit busy for brunch on a Saturday, not the best service.

Food was pretty good. We sat upstairs because it was raining and it was very dark.

First off, we picked a terrible time 👀 12:29 on Saturday. Brunch for everyone! Despite the terribly long wait, the food was delicious. Got the $5 Bellinis, the Biscuits & Gravy Baby, which were the best I’ve had anywhere. Kid tried the Banana Fosters French toast, also delectable! No one left hungry. If you can catch brunch it just did not disappoint.

Wondeful patio location overlooking main stop of downtown. Friendly and helpful stiff. Knowledge about food and cocktails items. I has the Greek salad and pizza. Both were delicious.

Wonderful food, great outdoor seating. Sweet potato tater tots are amazing, being a vegetarian never seen an eggplant burger served in a restaurant and it was delicious, will definitely be coming back for that.

A great outdoor cafe on the Strand. So many good food options and so reasonable on price. We are here twice in the five days of our visit and strongly considered a third!

It was a bit of a chilly night but we went here because Stuutgarten was super-busy! My lady had funky fajitas with chips and salsa (tasty) and I had the crispy chicken club. When our order came she was given a black bean and chicken burrito. It was an honest mistake and the manager came out and rectified the issue. They brought her the correct entree, comped her meal and we also kept the burrito. Service was really good. Sierra was apologetic and kept reiterating it. We told her it was okay and to please not worry about it. We still paid, with tip, what we would have paid with full price charge. We will go back. As a bonus, a horse and carriage went by while we were there.

In a town of mediocre restaurants, this is a highlight. Great fresh food, veggies, healthy options, plus other fun favs like pizza and burgers. Vegetarian, vegan, and keto options too. Loved my shrimp party burger. This and Blvd. Seafood, Suki Poke, and Hey Mike's ice cream are our Galveston favs.
