I was greeted when I entered and asked for the cashiers recommendation. I got the dirty chai which tasted good. Though I waited for a good 5 minutes because no one called out my name or gave me an indication that my drink was ready. So it was at the counter the whole time. I spent an hour or so and the temperature is nice. From the outside it looks very dark, but inside the sunlight shines through. The ambience is a little dull but overall it has a good small business vibe.
Really good coffee shop. Always good coffee and friendly people. Today I also found out they have Thai tea and boba!
Would love to hear the logic behind $.75 charge for a the vanilla in a vanilla latte. Please explain to me how you think a vanilla latte cost almost $7? Added a photo for reference for what they think is almost a dollar worth of liquid. I’ve also heard bad things about the owners and the current rating as well as some of the owner responses speak for themselves. We’re surrounded by coffee shops. Two Starbucks and a Summermoon is walking distance (both cheaper) Thanks!
Nice coffee and relaxing atmosphere in Black Sugar Caffe. That is all I need. There are super comfy armchairs, and some tables to drink coffee or get some delicious snacks. I like this place and recommend it
Everything in my order (save for the mid at best biscuit sandwich) was nasty! My suspiciously brown “matcha” frappe had no ice and the syrup added tasted like cough medicine. Slimy boba. They gave me the wrong croissant (ordered ham and cheese) but to add insult to injury it was also gross, no flavor, rubbery egg, stale bread… I had hope for the marshmallow bar but they also gave me the wrong one. Still flavorless yet way too sweet. Took one bite of everything then tossed it. Even Starbucks couldn’t mess up this bad.
very delicious coffee, and they have gf options! the baristas were very kind. the atmosphere was also very cute. will come again!
My favorite is their Wicked coffee. Mocha with cinnamon and cayenne. Also, the crustless quiche was amazing!
Never knew this cafe was here and now that I know, I'll be back often. The vibe is definitely laid back and awesome. They have wifi and a great selection of beverages and food to choose from. Their flavor offerings are definitely interesting and make me want to try all of them. Great coffee shop in the Cedar Park area.
Again, it all comes down to the coffee at a coffee shop. Thus, despite the friendly, prompt service, and the clean establishment, my cappuccino to-go tasted like something on the verge of death which slowly expired in my mouth. I understand a cappuccino is difficult because of the heat and milk - but it must be accomplished to create a professional product worth purchase. The interior was rather cold and loud - belying the concrete. Not worthy of the high ratings...

We usually go on Saturday mornings, and the staff is very friendly and drinks are always amazing. We went on a Friday night and the staff were okay, but the drinks were terrible. Our frappe just tasted like straight up blended milk, and our caramel latte tasted like burnt shots. Very different experiences going during the morning vs. at night.
The wicked lives up to its name. FANTASTIC and addictive too 🥰🥰🥰 Service is VERY nice and friendly. Edit: for most part staff is well trained. Newer or unfamiliar personal are wayyyyyyy less energetic and very passive over order fulfillment and satisfaction.
The staff is so insanely friendly and my coffee is also served extremely hot! Definitely one of my favorite coffee places in the area!
Been coming here since I moved closer to Cedar Park, roughly 2 years. I have never worked there, and now, will never work there. Yet, I’ve been told by a manager at this location, twice now, that other customers have complained about ME. I may be loud, and occasionally use some words that may not be appropriate for all audiences, but that doesn’t mean I’m a bad person. I was a regular, but you can scratch this place off of my daily list.
The coffee is good. I got a latte with two shots. An additional shot is $2.50 which is high $$. Wifi is super slow. If you're going to do web surfing or work, not ideal. The staff is very nice. The dining room and bathrooms are clean. Overall, nice place to chill, but not ideal for me. Coffee is of average quality. Did not try any other food.
Visiting friend in CPTX. Starbucks is overrated. I was excited to have coffee options. I won't go back again to Black Sugar. The girl behind the counter made fun of my English.
Wonderful coffee, warm & relaxing atmosphere. They also serve snacks, draft beer, and wine.
Great place to study or write. Coffee service is exactly to order. Food choices are a bit limited but there’s something for most people’s taste.
Servers are excellent and made the cafe such a welcoming atmosphere!
