I've gone here once a week for the past 6 months or so because I finally found it: the best coffee in BCS. Other shops have good atmosphere, but they don't have four separate spaces and vibes covered in their own artwork, plants, and soundsystems. Oh, and the art and plants are for sale! This place has a unique history that you can see in the architecture all around you-- go ahead and take a seat in the vault, it's lovely. The coffee? Have you ever said "I don't like black coffee" because when you tried it at a shop or from your keurig it was sour or bitter? Let Gustavo tell you why that happens and allow him to make you a pourover coffee-- black. I did. Turns out black coffee has taste. The words on the package mean something, and you DONT need the artificial flavors that k cups have. If you see a pour over you like, grab it right then. They go at cost and the selection changes as soon as they're out. The lattes and cappuccinos are excellent. Of course they are. Tavo has an award-winning latte artist and house made syrups with rotating seasonal varieties. Everything is made with love and care--especially since Gustavo is a 5th generation coffee farmer. Try Tavo. If I haven't convinced you, yet, maybe you'll go across the street during the farmers market on Saturday. It's that close, after all. They even have snacks-- sometimes homemade by the baristas.

Nice and cool coffee place in downtown Bryan. We’ve been visiting this place since February 2022 and we are just happy to see them grow.

Absolutely gem of a coffee place in downtown Bryan. The ambiance is so great and their WiFi is pretty reliable. You have a range of sitting options so you never get bored if you come multiple times. They have the cutest cups and such friendly staff - my order is always perfectly made. I wish they could stay open longer, there's probably been 4-5 times someone has suggested going to Tavo only for us to realize it's already closed for the day. It's like craving Chick-Fil-A on a Sunday. Will continue to come here whenever we can!

I love coming to this local business. The owners are very friendly, and they are from BCS area, so they can tell you a lot about how the area has changed through the years. The coffee is excellent, and the espresso never tastes burnt. The syrups are made by the employees, and they are not overly sweet! Personally, I cannot handle syrups with too much sugar, so this is great for me. I also love the alternative milks offered by Tavo (try the pistachio!). If alternative milks aren’t your thing, the whole milk they use is from another local business in the area! The vibes are also wonderful; there are plants everywhere, and the natural lighting is very refreshing. There are tables along the teller space that I love to call “conversation tables”. They are a nice spot to hang out and talk.

This place is Amazing. The shop is expansive so there’s a lot of room to study/talk to your friends. There are unique points to this place such as a pour over bar where you can watch your coffee be made right in front of you. The bakery is so delicious. They put a lot of care into what they make and in a short time it has become my main coffee shop

Tavo has literally changed my life for the better. Before Tavo, my life had pretty much no meaning or value.

Tavo is easily one of my favorite shops in town. Despite already knowing a lot about pour over and espresso, I feel like I learn something new every time I visit. The staff and owners are incredibly kind and ridiculously skilled at their craft. Not only do they source amazing coffee, they understand every step in the process from farm to our cups. I love that they always have new coffees to recommend at the pour over bar, and have taken the time to understand my pallet for espresso. My favorite thing however, is that they truly do strive to have coffee and tea for everyone. While I enjoy pour over and drinks that have less milk and sugar (because I love to taste the subtleties in espresso), my husband likes much sweeter milkier drinks. Tavo’s menu and style can accommodate us both and gives us both lots of options. There aren’t many places we’ve been that truly offer what we both enjoy. My friends who don’t drink coffee also love that they have loose leaf tea! Let’s be honest, the coffee is enough to keep me coming back as long as I am able, so the atmosphere is just cherry on top. There is so much unique history to the building and so many cool details to notice. There’s also ample working space, WiFi and great areas for conversation! Lastly, just a little piece of advice. I find coffee to be the best when I truly treat it like a mindful experience. When you encounter the kind of skill level present at Tavo, it’s worth slowing down a bit and really taking it in. It can be busy in there (because it’s just that good). In the few minutes it takes the staff to catch up on all the orders, take a moment and just soak the place in. It’s worthy of that. If it’s really busy at the bar, but you want to know more about coffee just wait around a while, slower moments do come. I and plenty of other regulars have learned a great deal by waiting for those moments.

I go here pretty much every time I’m back in B/CS. Very chill atmosphere in a cool space, and great variety of coffee. I have worked remotely from here for an afternoon as well as just hung out with friends and always have a good time!

The only place in town where they know and take care of their beans from crop to cup. The staff are super friendly and fantastic about finding the coffee or drink that is best for you.

This is hands-down the best coffee shop in town. The owners and employees are knowledgeable, helpful, and super friendly. It's also a really interesting and beautiful space. I highly recommend it!

Owners were present when I was there and incredibly knowledgeable. They gave me a great understanding of their offerings and were fun to chat with. I loved the vibe of the old bank and was impressed with the range and selection of drinks. Additionally, they make their own homemade syrups and they tasted delicious! I will definitely be coming back.

Extremely disappointed with this place. I had been looking forward to going here for so long. I finally make time and attend with some friends for a nice cup of coffee. Or so I thought. Right when we walk in, you immediately feel like a burden. No hellos, no small talk, no smiles, nothing. My friends and I mentioned how we haven't been there before and are looking for some guidance on what to get. Both employees were no help. As someone who works in customer service it is my job to be as helpful as I can so you can have a great experience and enjoy your meal/drinks. I am all about supporting a local shop, but in this case save your money and go somewhere else.

Not bad, very nice spot and welcoming staff. I think the atmosphere needs to be renovated though as it feels a little all over the place. Regardless it’s a cool spot and I think it has good potential. I’d like it if they came up with more latte or house menu drink options like other shops in BCS

Didn't try the food yet but it is a cute cafe and the service is quick. I didn't explore the back part but if there are tables I will definitely go study there in the future!
