What a fun place!!! When you walk in, you're instantly relaxed. From the relaxing music, to the fun decor, to the warm & friendly staff, to the historic building, this place is beautiful. The staff and owner are so incredibly kind and helpful! Steven took his time helping guide us through their impressively extensive tea menu to find just the right drinks for us. Their Rueben is hands down the BEST sandwich I've ever had. Seasoned to perfection and perfectly dressed. The Monte Christo was good too, as was the grilled cheese. My kiddos ended up splitting the grilled cheese, and when they were still hungry, they brought them out another sandwich on the house. Top notch service, and a kindness you don't find much these days!!!

Really great lattes and good food! Really liked the grilled cheese and tomato soup, the blue bayou monte (the salad that came with it was really good too), and the white wolf and butter beer lattes. The people who work there were very nice too!

Really nice experience all around. Their coffee and tea selection is huge and high quality. Food is really good too, I got the Tomato soup and grilled cheese and really liked it. The restaurant is beautiful and well worth a stop if passing through Brenham.

This is a younger generation type a place. More coffee house than Cafe. Not much on menu to chose from. But, the atmosphere and staff are nice, a little disorganized, but nice. No decaf available. If you want a traditional breakfast, don't come here.

This is a must see when in Brenham. From the moment you walk in the lead glass door, you're in a special place. Ellie and company buy the best quality ingredients and make everything on-site. I had the Monte sandwich, which is a turkey sandwich. I've reviewed restaurants all over the world, so it takes a lot to surprise me. This sandwich not only surprised me but was absolutely the best I've ever had . Bread is made in house and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Raspberry liquor sauce on the turkey is stunningly wonderful. Highly recommend you try it. Desert comes with the meal. I had warm pumpkin bread. Best I've ever tasted. I highly recommend you go there. It has my highest endorsement as one of the best sandwich restaurants in the country. Food made and served with love, try it!

Loved our Sunday visit on the patio/alley, enjoying the French toast with a cup of their special tea. A perfect place for me and my daughter’s eclectic selves. Thank you for great service!

My favorite spot in Brenham hands down. The coffee is low acidity (and delicious!), the food is homemade and fantastic, and the atmosphere feels like you just walked into a friends house to visit. Been coming here for over a year now and would never go anywhere else.

The food was excellent! I had a wonderful Reuben sandwich and great salad! The flavored sweet tea was incredible. They made us salted caramel Chai tea lattes, that were wonderful!

Have you ever been in a place that knows you by name and make you feel welcomed like they have known you for years? That is "The Tilted Windmill" for my husband and I. We always enjoy the Mayan Mocha iced coffee, and some warmed up delicious pumpkin bread:) It hits the spot as we plan the week ahead. They have many other fun flavor options for coffee. Not a coffee drinker... that's ok, because they have several flavors of tea that will leave you refreshed and excited to try more. If your in the mood for lunch; the most amazing grilled cheese dipped into the silky smooth tomato basil soup! Must try!!! Your taste buds will thank you:) P.S. Looking for a gift for that coffee or tea love in your life... You can get them a gift card:)

We tried to eat here this past weekend. When we walked in there was a lady with a dog at the counter chit chatting away (I’m a dog person but don’t believe they belong inside restaurants), none of the staff ever looked our way or acknowledged us, even after the dog lady left. There were atleast 3 or 4 people behind the counter, and as we sat ourselves down they all disappeared without a word. We went in search of menus and found some at the counter, stood and waited to order and finally went back and sat down for a few more minutes. We were there approx 10 mins and aside from some other people sitting at a table, and one kid that came out with a tray of silverware to fold in a back corner, never saw anyone come back out front and were never spoke to or acknowledged in any way. Pretty disappointed as we’ve heard good things about the food, but if you can’t even order… needless to say, we won’t be going back.

Perfect lunch spot for enjoying a GREAT cup of coffee or tea, catching up with a friend, or even getting some work done. The atmosphere is calming. The young man who was our server/barista was extremely attentive and friendly. I ordered a iced matcha latte with pineapple, he suggested oat milk- which made it so much better, I give it a 10/10! I ordered The Full Monte which was very different from any sandwich I’d ever tried, but to say it was delicious is an understatement! My sandwich was served with a delicious side salad and my meal even came with dessert- a pumpkin cream cheese muffin.. which was out of this world good! Suuuuper moist, not too sweet, & RICH with pumpkin. Overall this place exceeded my expectations, even after I had read so many other 5 star reviews prior to my visit! If you love coffee or tea, a relaxing atmosphere, and good quality, FRESH ingredients, combined in mouth watering ways.. You HAVE to try this place!!
