This is the butter rum cake done for my daughter’s graduation party. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL and absolutely DELICIOUS! Everyone was so impressed! ❤️

I just loved this place. Everything is homemade and fresh. The cakes are just yummy 🤤 They have fudges, cakes, sandwiches and many more to try. Must try Mexican Chocolate cake 🎂

The owners went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. The desserts are to die for. If you find yourself in Athens Texas stop here you won’t regret it!!!
Great place to get a tasty cake.
I ordered a birthday cake for my dad here. It was a beautiful Pecan Italian Cream Cake, but it seemed a little pricey at $50. However, after tasting it, I realized they could charge whatever they want for this kind of perfection. The flavor and quality of the cake was top notch. Best cake I've had in many years!

We chose the Cherry Laurel for our wedding cake and we were very pleased! We chose an almond cake with raspberry filling, and it tasted *AMAZING* (of course, the reception was so busy for us that we only got to taste it when we cut it). The ladies have even offered to make us a fresh version for our 1 year anniversary! The cake was beautiful, the ladies showed up on time and set it up without a hitch. Thanks to the Cherry Laurel for helping make our special day even more special!
Cabana wrap is always amazing. ...to edit this review so that the 3 stars is understood: the food was amazing, it always has been for the years I have been eating at Cherry Laurel! I don't think I've ever had ANYTHING bad! But the last time I was in (when I originally put in this review) the food was still on par, but the service was probably the worst I have ever had there. That's the only reason for 3 stars. Another customer asked me, as we were waiting for the girl to find change to break a $20 for my order, if the ownership had changed because service had never been like that before. I was there for over 10 minutes just to pick up an order I called in, most of which was waiting for her to find and bring back change...I will get there again because the food is good, but I just hope service from that day was just an "off day" thing.
Holy cake pops! Yum. Strawberry, lemon,chocolate! Was looking for something sweet and this bakery popped up on the phone. Check this place out soon. What a treat! Will be back soon.
Fly in cake case on a cake. Nothing in th3 cake case is covered like previous photos show. Hair in cake ball. 🤢 Will not be back. Place looks rundown. Didn't see any menu, except for coffee. Atleast the young man working explained the cake ball flavors to me.
I had the half sandwich ( muffuletta) and cup of tomato basil soup, and of course, a large blackberry sage tea. Everything was delicious and so fresh! I’ve tried several things from their menu and have enjoyed all of them!!

Had a Rueben grilled sandwich. It was nice and not expensive , place is small but you can sit out side on a porch. Staff were helpful , generally the place worked for me.
We sat, waiting for a server, for way too long. She was chatting with a another table, we could tell now you about Walmart's point system, her kids, an upcoming kidney procedure, how everyone that works there is sick and she is basically on her own, etc. We decided to leave and find a restaurant with any degree better of service. As we were leaving, that was when we were asked, by somebody else, if we were ready to order. Very disappointing.
We drove over an hour to try this place. We weren't disappointed! Had the Ruben, rated best in East Texas and we agree. Also the Cherry Laurel Salad was delicious. We couldn't leave without dessert - loved the S'mores bars. We will definitely be back. There's plenty more things to try!
I loved the coffee they had there ,also the cake balls and the employees where pretty nice, Not to mention that the cakes where immaculate the details where over this world
